Slick
switching to a unibody design, abandoning the few hard-core off-roaders that had cherished the original model. amen. Edited March 31, 2006 by Slick
Trainman
With its 1996 redesign, it moved away from its truck origins and further upmarket, switching to a unibody design, abandoning the few hard-core off-roaders that had cherished the original model. amen. navygz19
Technical Data: 2006 Nissan Xterra S Off Road Base price $33,748 Options $1,300 (Off Road Automatic Transmission incl. HDC/HAS) Freight $1,276 A/C tax $100    Price as tested $36,424 I just can't get over that. It's a nice truck, still "tries" to appeal to the younger buyer, has off road potential (albeit less than the originals) but almost 40K for an X? And what does that get you...VDC? HDC? HSA? I'd rather have a VG33 equipped one and an unlimited funds spending account On the other hand, that was a very well written review! GrimGreg
The X is still barely an SUV, getting closer every design change to a SMW* just like the Pathfinders. *Soccer Mom Wagon

87pathy
Well we all know that the xterra is a pathfinder with the wrong name on it. If you don't understand this.. WD21= First Gen pathfinder.. WD22=xterra. its good to see that they put a frame back under the new pathy.. so SAS front and rear, hear we come..lol
