Precise1
wow that sads 700 hp and 6500 pounds Whats sad about 218 mph and street legal ? Its actually a 6 liter V12, but yes, I agree 88 ! There are no cupholders. And they didn't mention a built in cell phone either !! I'd love to take it for a spin !! B

FLApathy
i would expect more the 218 mph from a v12 that speed is the norm for super cars
Precise1
For a street legal car ? Um, no... 200 Maybe !! Probably less... This special edition Lambo does 195... B
FLApathy
and a 93 comaro can go 140 ive never seen a car be illegal because of how fast it can go
Precise1
It has to be DOT approved... Most cars that go really fast are track modified and could never be street legal. When you get to high speeds, the HP or drag coefficient works on a geometrical curve, ie. at 140 mph in a comaro it may take 20 hp and/or .05 less drag to go 145. At 180 the same change may only get you to 181. Europe has outlawed the importation of motorcycles that can break 300KM/hr, I don't know about cars, but there are FAR fewer of them ! I appreciate your enthusiasm, but the comparison to a 140mph comaro doesn't really apply. Besides, who wants to go 140 in a comaro ?? B

Precise1
ok so corvette, viper, and a gt40 shouild be illegal because of there horse power Dude, read and comprehend. I never said anything about HP=illegal... Nor top speed. How many of those 3 break 200mph from the factory ? I'm guessing none, so we are back to where we started. If you can't appreciate a car not made in the US, thats your choice. Doesn't change any facts though... B

Precise1
Longer wheel base does wonders for high speed stability and tracking. At 7 feet wide, I guess the length is not that excessive ? It is a beaut, isn't it MZ ? B
Precise1
i like some cars not made in the us Fair enough, and Ferrari makes their share of nice vehicles. Granted, the car in this thread is a 1 off, but they think it may enter limited production. Probably not quite the same though. Trivia fact for you. Did you know Lamborgini started out in the 1930's (I think) making farm tractors ?? Thats quite a developmental change ! B

Precise1
*vibrates entire body* Cool... But I'm not sure I can offer you a beer... No, I didn't know that, what was the first year of the T-bird ? Yes, I can read the stats... Interesting... Yeah, longer wheel base kills cornering (look at the Porsche Carrera, my personal, maybe some day reachable, favorite car) which corners like a demon, but then cornering doesn't matter if you wobbled and spun in a high speed straight. Like anything else, it's all about specialization. B

Precise1
I haven't watched TV for about 8 years, but when I move, I'll get cable again. Personally, I prefer motorcycle racing, but any racing before death, football or baseball, in that order... B
