Mrelcocko
Finally after a 2 year search I found the factory working diagram for the xenon hid headlamps on the r50. It's in Russian, but if you know anything about wiring diagrams and symbols you should be able to figure it out pretty easy. You'll need 2, 4pin relays and 4 diodes for the head lamps. I also found the leveling adjustment wiring diagram. It was a long hard search that ended in Victory. #fsmxenonhidr50 #aiminglevelingadj Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50 1

Mrelcocko
I'm finally around to making my homemade wiring harnesses on my 97 Quey for the factory Xenon HID headlights. Up until now I had them wired up to the stock wiring which gave me an uneasy feeling every time I turned them on, plus every time I wanted to use my brights my low beam would go off and the way these things are supposed to work from the factory is when you use your hi beam your low beam hid is supposed to stay on that way you don't ruin your ballast by it going off and then powering back on every time you wanted to use your high beam or your flash to pass I'm using 2 - OEM Nissan 30amp 4 PIN relays to power my lights and 4 - 3A 200v Diodes to stop back current. I got the relays from my local Pull a Part and the 4 diodes from Radio Shack. They come 2 diodes per pack. I've had these lights for quite some time now but it has taken me this long to figure out exactly what type of diode I need for this project if anyone else has any more info please feel free to share. The factory wiring diagram is fairly easy to understand. It's in Russian but you can translate it easy through Google. STAY TUNED................Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50
PathyDude17
I know exactly what you mean when it comes to finding diodes..... they're difficult to sort out. Wiring is a joy, isn't it? Cool project though!

Cool project though! No doubt wiring is the greatest joy just love it. Radio Shack's around where I live are few and far between they closed every one of them besides one that is located in the mall. I went there because I figured the guy at Radio Shack would be able to help me and tell me what type of diodes I needed for my application but he didn't know anything about diodes so strike 73 Lol! PathyDude17
Nearest Radio shack for me 2-3 hours. Ordering online is a mess too. I wanted minimum 5A diodes, ended up finding 10A 100V ones on ebay. Took me a couple days though.
Mrelcocko
I've got one Head light wiring harness competed. Not hard, but very time consuming. I took pics of the diodes and where there located to can compare to the original wiring schematic. Now on to see how the harness fits and where the relays and grounds will go.Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50
Mrelcocko
Also from what I've read you want to keep the diodes as close to the relay as you canMr Cox 96R50-97JR50
Mrelcocko
Making wiring harnesses for the HID low beam and Halogen High beam Hid never turns off keeping it powered. Flash to pass is hi beam halogen. Hi beam is halogen and hid low beam. 4 headlights on at the same time using diodes. Very easy. I used 4 x 6amp diodes just like ones in pic. Wire exactly like diagram placing diodes correctly Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50

Mrelcocko
Since i had to remove the battery and the airbox. The area under the battery and under the Breather I cleaned and used undercoating. I didn't get any pictures of the area under the battery but I did get some under the breather tube and airbox. It's a good idea to do this stuff In my book it's that time of year anyway. undercoating is going to be at the top of my to - do listMr Cox 96R50-97JR50

Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50 Unfortunately I've heard a solid mixture of good and bad things about people's experiences with Tapatalk. Personally I just don't like the format of the app so I don't use it. Anyways, if you guys could try it on a regular browser to make sure the issue is resolved that would be cool.
