Chadius
i just want to know why they have different sections in this forum and in other forums they are the same. What can I not buy for the 90-95 if I have an 87?
nunya
Most forums figure wd21=wd21, and while a lot of similarities there are also many differences. That's one of many things that help us stand apart from other Nissan forums. Reading through te 2 different sections a little would help you answer your own question
Slartibartfast
You can't buy a rear passenger door for an '87-'89. Other than that, the intake and fuel delivery is different (TBI vs MPFI).
xterra
It does make it interesting for a small minority of us, though. The 90-95 is where I need to go for any of the driveline stuff. (I have yet to pull my auto-locking hubs, so I don't know if it's 27 or 28 spline.) The 87-89 is where I need to go for any of the body and interior stuff. Electrical has been hit and miss. I would have thought there would be a similar split in the R50s - those with VG engines and those with VQs.
lerch641
Digging around, will a bumper/bush bar that's advertised for a 90-95 fit on earlier?
Chadius
Digging around, will a bumper/bush bar that's advertised for a 90-95 fit on earlier? Good question those are hard to find. On another note took the tail lights out of a 95, fit right in my 87, First year to last year lol.
Chadius
Can I revive this thread again to ask some opinions on the door panel? I'd really like to take one out of a 4 door and put it in my 87, I wouldn't mind the seats either, can anybody tell me if the clips are the same on the door panel and if the seat bracket is the same in all years. Please and thank you!
RedPath88
Other than styling, seats and doors should be the same yes. Other than the change in mid-rear side windows for the addition of two extra doors little changed in the bodies. Bumpers and dash changed shape in 94. Chadius
Thanks for the info new door panels would be great. So would the seats I just want them to be able to slide forward since I have the two door.
RedPath88
Well I don't believe you'll find that in a pass seat from a 4dr, but maybe a 4dr owner can confirm.
vagabond
they slide, also if you wire in the window controls use the back window switch for the drivers door the passenger side will work fine for the passenger door
RedPath88
I don't think adjustability sliding was ever in question, instead I think it is more about the pass side seat back automatically tipping forward and the seat moving all the way forward then the release is pulled from the back or the lever from the side. The same accessibility "feature" present on all most all 2dr vehicles for easier access in and out of the back seats. Ah yes I had forgotten about the window switches being different 2dr to 4dr. Not only are there obviously more but they are also located on the arm and not on the panel.
vagabond
the OLs 94 will not slide forward when the back is tipped
