87mudfinder
The 350 swap alot of work but would be fun to try to do that would mean a new tranny and engine and then retro fit drive shafts/ the rear end would everntaully have to be beefed up major to not have it shred and blow on you But all that pimp work in the link i am dual shocking mine with the front springs and making my own a arms redoing the rear end OHHHHH so much to do going to the metal land this month to get all the gear... 87mudfinder
Well a chevy buddy of mine says he wants to do a swap with the Nissan i have personally never seen anyone online do a swap I have been asking for links.... But I have seen 1 person do a swap with my 2 eyes here in vancouver to a toyota 1987 with a 350 chevy engine only way it works is with a tranny that of the same engine. Lots of tweaks lots of work. Wiring etc . If i do this swap thiung i am gonna gut it and do the crazy mods like those of the links tripple shocks ,ajor travel reweld up all the underneath only question is really how is the vehicle ever safe for the roads? AFter something like this??? How far is too far! I really want to do some gutting but want to keep it road worthy still with the option of go anywhere off road also! Well back when i figure out some ideas!

88pathoffroad
All I gotta say is: http://www.aggressiveoffroad.com Click here for a pic of Carl's "PathPounder" with a 383 V8. It's pumping about 375 HP...he was running 35's on a front Dana 44 and rear Ford 9" last I heard. Atlas II transfer case...TH700-R4 transmission...and so on... http://www.aggressiveoffroad.com/Pathfinder.htm http://www.aggressiveoffroad.com/pthpndr8.htm http://www.aggressiveoffroad.com/v8Path.htm http://www.aggressiveoffroad.com/PathfinderSAS4.htm

Diesel Boy
In relation to the link: http://www.fly-n-hi.com/FST/nissanpathfinder.htm Just a observation, and correct me if im wrong but, The Mods are great, but the Pathy is now only two wheel drive. No where in any of the pics is there a front diff, or mounts for one, and no half shafts.l IFS systems will always be limited in travel due to the CV joints. You can make the suspension system capable of more travel but untill they invent CV joints that are capable of running at more accute angles we a stuck with what we have. Cheers, Pete. Piscator
The 350 swap alot of work but would be fun to try to do that would mean a new tranny and engine and then retro fit drive shafts/ the rear end would everntaully have to be beefed up major to not have it shred and blow on you Whoa man, our H233b's are bigger than a ford 9" and beefier than a D44, no need to replace that. As for a 350 swap they are out there, advance adapters makes some of the stuff you'll need Agressive offroad in Fl makes a "kit" (overstatement) but I can't find their site right now. If you need steering tho why not just get a Calmini system. I have one and kicks butt big time. There is a site that says a 92 Pathy scored over 500 on the RTI, www.offroaders.com/info/tech-corner/rti.htm no need to go to all that "pimp work" and expense, just take off your sway bar. sw
Petes made the point i was gonna make.... why do all that work and lose 4wd???? my goodness that axle in the sas pic looks small, like a tooth pic. my hat goes off to the guy for all that work, but that axle looks p i s s weak
Nick
Im not sure if this makes a differance, but if you read that is a Pathy PreRunner, only prerunners i have seen are on the dunes, and I think they usually run in 2WD. Correct me if I am wrong though.

Vsicks Pathy
Years old in fact steevo... You'd never see it on the track either. 2wd, the diff is for show. At least I have never seen a picture of it with the front hooked up. I kinda think that it would overheat too. We know how hot our Pathies can get ay steevo. by the way, do you still have yours?
