Steering upgrade

Hey guys looking for the thread on how to upgrade a pathys idler arm with a beefier donor steering box from a hardbody truck...Seen a couple of steering box at a local jy this morning and couldnt quite remember what year hardbody or truck steering I can pull the donor from. I seen one off of a 91 and a 87 I beleive thats just hangin so I figured pull em now and probably do my upgrade when the weather permits.

Been searching for hours and couldnt find it..Thanks in advance for your help fellas

i used a powered one just took a few min and removed the guts and made and siliconed a plate over the hole non powered units are almost impossible from here in altlantic canada i havnt seen one in almost 15 years

just make sure that the one you pick has the right sized pitman arm and sometime the taper for the ball joint is reversed from the 4x4 pathfinder

You have to change the arm if you use the non-powered box.
