Tungsten
If you ever want to take your gauge cluster out and clean it, here are some tips (for the square flat dash model): 1. Only remove the plastic bezel around the gauge faces and nothing else. Don't only remove the clear plastic screen and spray cleaner on the bezel. This is how I lost my numbers on the tachometer. Remove this assembly to clean, you can separate the two pieces if you want. Also, it is safe to use cleaner on these two pieces. Do not clean the rest and if you absolutely have to, do not use a cleaner, only water and a microfiber towel. 2. Use the black tabs to remove the bezel. Don't forget to remove the clock adjustment knob, which is held on by a screw. OOPS! At least it was already somewhat broken anyway...
ahardb0dy
I always use Mothers plastic polish on the clear plastic, makes it look like there is no plastic over the gauges, the cluster in my 87 hardbody was the same except I had that sub fuel level gauge. Precise1
I've pulled apart several of the round style and it is the same assembly with the same damn little clips that seem almost impossible not to break. LOL at the numbers, if you had the round dash I'd send the part that is sitting in the garage... B
Tungsten
The tabs on the square ones are surprisingly very tough to break.

Tungsten
The circled fasteners remove the following parts: Do not touch other screws. You also have to remove all the other gauges before removing the speedometer and the odometer. Edited November 28, 2010 by Tungsten

Northernpathy
Looks good. Gotta see what I can do about the one in my hardbody. I find the orange lettering hard to see on a bright day while driving. Would be so much better to have it in white like that.
Tungsten
all you have to do is find one with the white gauges and swap the white tach and speedo in for the orange ones
ZombeeXXX
Is that a bulb color change as well? Its sooooo bright and noticed the clock is blue? I wish my cluster was that bright. I lost my speedo last week so I will be working on it anyway when its a little nicer
