facebones
I want to wire another power outlet in my 92 pathy for a power inverter and a phone charger.is there a easy way to do this and has anyone done it where is a good place to mount the second one? - Sam
silverton
depends on if you want it on switch power or not, if not then the plug would have power all the time. you would need a fuse in the wiring. and I'd say the back is a good place for one, I know a lot of newer SUV's have outlets like this back there, not exactly sure where it would be mounted, but there is no set place to put it. GrimGreg
I have one in the back on both Pathys, both are always on since usually when I use them I am stopped. I wired both from the battery through a fuse block. Here is my 93's (hiding under the flashlight):

adamzan
You can buy them at autoparts stores for pretty cheap. Or I guess free from the jy if you just take them
Tsingson
I mounted a 3 outlet one in the center console so my daughter can use it for her DSi charger and whatever else. I just tapped in on the factory cigarette lighter wires and it has worked great. Only downside is that the car has to be in the on position to work. But that can always be changed.
