Factory Stereo Plug

okay so I want to install a aftermarket cd player in my car.

 

but i noticed the plug in my truck that goes into the back of the deck its like a two pronged type plug

 

but the one for my deck is only a single plug

 

any idea on what to do about this?

is there any way to splice a normal 1 prong adapter to the two?

Any place that sells car stereos will have the proper adapter. Don't just hack up the wiring. You've already learned that lesson once, haven't you?

go to walmart and buy the wireharness you need its only 8 bucks then you justm match the color coded ends and it all just clips right in after that. Shouldnt take more then 30 mins to install the new radio.

I agree, get an adaptor. hacking wiring harnessess will always come back to haunt you.

i think he may mean the antenna's two prong.

yup you will need the antenna adaptor i forgot to mention that because i never hookd mine up i hate all the comericals they play on the radio
