O2 sensor

okay it looks like my o2 sensor is in the middle of my cat my questions is im getting a new exaust in the next few days with a high flow cat, where would the o2 sensor plug into? or can i just cut the sensor out of the equation?

getting rid of it will cause your ECU to have issues.

I've never seen the O2 in the cat...on my 87 and 95 and the 94 i stripped they were precat (i think or postcat premuffler but I'm pretty sure it was precat)

theres 1 precat in the "mid pipe" and on 90 & later I think there is also 1 after cat(2 total) It may go in above the cat heatshield giving the impression that it is after. anyway when you replace just make sure u have one b4 & after

'89? What you see going into the cat is probably the air tube. The O2 sensor should be a few inches before the cat, with wires running to it.

There is only one O2 sensor on the wd21s and it is pre-cat right after the Y and yes unplugging it will cause your CEL to go on and it will hurt your gas mileage.
