Stalling on hills and at full throttle.

So for a while my 87 has felt like it was slipping while going up hills, more recently instead of feeling like slipping it feels like it is starving for fuel while going up hills and almost stalling. This issue is not constant either sometimes it will go just fine. I was told by a tranny guy it definitely isn't the clutch or tranny, and he said to check into the fuel pump and the pump sending unit.

I am just looking for insight to see if anyone else could offer some advice.

Did a fuel filter about 2 months ago, and also run lucas already great stuff. Could throw another filter in but it is still pretty much brand new.

had the same problem a full tune up took care of that (it was bad spark plugs wires and my pcv valve was stuck closed)

Distributor and coil looked fine. And it does need a tune up anyways so I guess thats next.

Did you just glance at them, or give them a once over? Take the wire from the coil to the distributor off at the distributor side and let it arc to a ground while someone turns the starter, arc should be blue, if it is white/yellow/orange your coil is bad.
