Fog Light Wiring

I have a 94 pathfinder and was wondering if anyone knew or had a diagram of how the fog lights are wired and what you would have to do to get them to run when the brights are on.

I hardwired mine into my marker lights on my Hardbody, made life much easier(plus I was lazy that day)

Use the "search" feature. There was a posting not ltoo long ago with the web links to where you can down load the manuals for your truck.

Create your own harness..thats how all of my lights are and completely bypass the the headlight switch.

If it didn't have fogs to begin with you'll have to wire them in yourself anyway. WD21's with fogs got an aftermarket Bosch relay and wiring setup anyway. Google for some more info, it's not that hard to wire in fog lights.

Yes. right next to the wiper motor.

Relatively easy if you already have fog lights, and a switch in your center console.

 

1. Remove switch from console.

2. Turn headlight switch to the "ON" position.

3. Use multi-meter/test light to find which wire is HOT or B+ 12 volts.

4. Run a second 20amp circuit to the switch.

OR

5. Find relay (pass side next to wiper motor as already mentioned).

6. Using steps 2 and 3 find which terminal on the harness that has B+ 12 volts.

7. Work in a fused 12v constant or ignition fired lead on that terminal.

 

Some minor common sense and electrical knowledge is probably a good idea.

Its relatively easy, regardless of stock or not. Read the stuff on the link 88 provided, check out the instructions with your light kit, and take a look at your truck's wiring. Buy a simple tester (can be had for a couple bucks), take pics if you get stuck, and with all of the above instructions, you should be good to go.
