Just remove the whole sway bar and be rid of it.

You will get a whole lot more articulation without it, but then you have to be a bit more careful when driving on the high ways and cornering.

I have removed both of mine permanently.

glad to be in socal where there's not salt and snow on the ground!!! but i know the beach can also rust out a car but not that bad.

 

with that said ... i do have some rust, because my pathy was from ohio.

Oof,

check the frame behind the rear wheels, may be ugly...

 

removing the sway bar is cheapest route, just don't take any fast turns and you'll be golden

Same thing just happened to me, except mine was also disconnected from the swaybar too, so now it's just hanging by the ebrake cable, you can see it without even looking under neath. :ohno01:

 

I'm taking it to get re welded. I was told by a mechanic (he checked the frame) it's safe to drive for now though.
