Hello all.

I'm Andre, and I dont own a pathfinder. Nor have I ever posted here.

The reason being that I'm into Z's, particularily the 300ZX (Z31).

I also am into the engine that powers the Z31...the Nissan VG engine.

I think it's one of Nissan's greatest achievements, but still has a lot of room for improvement.

Only problem is there arent enough Z guys to improve upon it. However, there are

plenty of people involved with the VG line of engines if you look at how many car communities are driven by it. There are plenty of us addicted to this engine and many of us working on it and modding it. Only problem is we are all seperated in different communities. Be it S12 clubs, Z31 clubs, or Pathfinder communities. Meanwhile hondas and RB engines are running circles around us and continously making headroom in terms of performance. So I'm I'm coming to this Pathfinder community calling all those addicted to the VG engine to help me establish a respectable alliance.

http://www.vgpowered.com which is coming soon.

I created a forum for it and its being hosted at

http://forum.vgpowered.com

I'm not trying to steal members here, and actually I will even post a link back to this forum. I'm looking for others with my same passion for the VG engine, and to help me bridge the gap between communities.

Tell me what you think.

Oh also, submit your ride and it may be featured on the front page to represent the Pathfinder part of the community! Here is the submition page

Submit your ride to www.vgpowered.com and it may end up featured on the front page. The submition page is Here -> Submition Page

So far there isnt ONE Pathfinder to represent the pathfinder community.

If you need advice on taking good pictures you can visit the following sites

and

I realize Pathfinder's are rugged and love being in mud. So action shots of your ride are very welcome. It just shows how versitile our engines are!

Awesome. I'll be checking in over there since I'm really looking to get some more power out of this engine. If you contact a company called Alpine Developments I'd bet they'd be willing to "sponsor" or participate over there. They just released a SC kit for the VG series.

Yeah I'll go check it out! Very tactful, the way you approached this topic as we've seen lots of people try to steer people to their own clone of a pathfinder or related site! :aok:

Wow you guys are great.

I will be posting up a links section in each vehicle subcategory.

You will see this site at the top in the Pathfinder section. Thanks you guys for the

support!

FYI, did you know a favorite mod for Z31 guys is to swap in the pathy plenum?

It provides better flow and better low end torque.

Pathy's rule sly

Pathy's rule

hehe, most of our chatting is about adapting 300 stuff to ours....

Or My Fav... Slipping a VG30DE into a Pathy using our intake up....

How much do those go for, usually? I have one sitting in my garage doing nothing...

You know....I'm not sure. More than $100 for sure. It's the highest flowing plenum on the chart under the Z31 gutted intake plenum. A gutted Z31 plenum goes for roughly $400 on ebay. I can only imagine that would be the limit since a gutted plenum is a step up...and thats debatable. The Pathy plenum insures equal distribution while providing longer runner length. Plus it looks damned sexy in a Z engine bay!

Post it up in the classifieds on VGpowered.com. You can also post it up on Z31.com/board or better yet put it on ebay then put a link in the classifieds. I just looked on ebay and there are NON listed. You'll sell it :D Just make sure to take good pics, and have it nice and clean! Also include these links in your ad.

and make sure to include this picture

The first two lines are gutted Z31 plenums....L&P, and a homemade "Engloid" style gutted plenum. So the Pathy is the best non-gutted way to go.

  • 10 months later...

Hello, it's been almost 1 year since I have put up VGP, and I have to say I'm very pleased.

I have revamped the site, and it has it's own forum now (no more informe.com stuff).

Check it out and tell me what you think. I also added a link back to this site, as promised :) in the link section.

I'm happy to say the 88pathoffroad is a mod there :)

Also, the pathfinder is going in the Vehicle Lineup section. If there is anyone here knowledgeable of it's history and would like to write something about it,

please contact me! I also need some stunning pictures of the Pathfinder (preferably stock pathfinders) and an picture of the different engine bays that housed some form of the VG (VG30i, VG30E, VG33E, VG33ER etc...) Did the pathfinder come with the ER? See why I need help? LOL

All this will go in the pathfinder page.
