XPLORx4
How much interest is there for a front bumper that is designed similarly to a TJM (like mine and Pezzy's)? It seems that the options for front bumpers that used to exist earlier in the year have vanished. The only option now is the KMA bumper. If there are enough people who are interested in a TJM-style bumper, I can work with a local fabricator to have these built, using mine as a template. I'm guessing the cost would be approx $800-$900. MichiganAve
More options are always a great thing, who could say no? But this would be purely out of the goodness of your heart as you already have a nice front bumper for yourself!!! Thanks Dean! Would this be by the same guy as your rear bumper? BTW, I just ordered a KMA, otherwise I'd be all over this. I hope to have it next month and I'll post lots of pics for you guys to see. This is a 96-99 model (which I think also fits 00 QX4 but not Pathfinder). KMA is working on a wincher for 00+ right now.
DJ Dank
Does KMA have a site? I did a quick google serach and didn't see one. Edit: Nevermind, I found it. http://www.kenmtn.com Edited November 24, 2006 by DJ Dank
MichiganAve
Here is a thread on NPORA with info posted by venge, he includes links to Kennesaw Mountain Accessories (KMA). The only two made so far are pictured there. All I can say so far is Kyle has been good on email and the phone answering my questions. I can't say much more except it is currently the only option available and I took the plunge, so I'll let everybody know how it turns out. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11270 EDIT: I love how you found the answer while I was typing my reply lol. Sorry. I'll leave the link here to venge's post as it has a lot of great info. Edited November 24, 2006 by MichiganAve
DJ Dank
THanks for the link man. I think the bumper doesn't look that bad nor is the price. It would be nice to see a pic with one with the grill and light guards.
WheelsofFortune
Wow the timing is bad and good. I'm getting sliders done, thinking about going all in for a rear bumper and now the front bumper TJM style from Dean......Dang! I need more MONEY!!!! Aaarrrrrrgggh!!! Can't get a front bumper at this time.... I'm pretty sure I can't. Damnit I guess I'll watch to see if any others are interested .....
nissandoms47
what kind of options would come with the bumper? could it have fog lights like the newer ARB? and good looking turn signals. i hate the kma ones.
XPLORx4
The bumper would pretty much be as close as possible to the look, style, and features of the TJM, not the ARB bar, since the TJM would be used as the template. The turn signals would be something that's more attractive than those on the KMA. Light tabs for mounting aux lights would be the same as the TJM. However, I'm not going to even bother asking the shop to do the research (and tie up my truck at the shop during development) if y'all are going to buy the KMA or build your own. If any of you are concerned about your pocketbook's current size, don't worry about having to lay down cash anytime soon. A bumper, if it does become available, probably wouldn't make it into production until Feb. or March. At this time, I'm just testing the market to see if there are enough people who are serious to go through the trouble. Again, if you aren't willing to wait that long, or can't afford the price tag, and are going to buy the KMA, then I'm not going to bother. MichiganAve
Don't worry about turn signals... some R50s came with the turn signals in their corners instead of in their bumpers. I am planning on just hooking my turn signals to my corners and not having them built into my bumper cause I agree the KMA signals are butt ugly. DJ, mine will have a grill guard (in a larger diameter than normal), light guards, fog lights, light bar for my black KC slimlights, and d-rings. And no turn signals . Adding all that raises the price but its nice to be able to customize. I'll obviously show pics when I get it, the earlier models they made were just plain winchers without bars. I'm not trying to suggest you don't get a TJM copy through Dean's generosity. If I had the option to get an ARB or a copy of a TJM earlier I would have gone for it. Or if Richard had a 96-99 R50 or I lived hear him I would have considered custom instead. Or if Marcel hadn't lost his R50 and had finished his prototype... I would love to see more options for our market and I think Dean (as always) is doing a great job trying to help us all out.

vengeful
If the mounting of this bumper is going to be like the TJMs or better, count me in. I'll start setting aside some money now for it.
XPLORx4
So, that's one person who's interested. Anyone else? The bumper mounts would be as least as strong as the TJM mounts. Probably the only options would be with/without turn signals and with/without upper tubes around the grille and headlights. (Also, it probably won't have the rubber bumpers on the front.) Here's a pic of the bumper with and without signals. Edited November 25, 2006 by XPLORx4

vengeful
any option for recessed fog lights? Sure....cut a hole in it and mount them yourself. Uhh....Aaron, please. If Dean didn't do it, I'd give my truck to Marcel to finish his bumpers.
XPLORx4
any option for recessed fog lights? At the moment, there are no plans to add features above and beyond what the TJM already has, but it can certainly be investigated. Right now, it looks like there's only 2 people interested, and unfortunately, that's probably not enough to warrant development. 02silverpathy
Doesn't ARB make a Sahara Bar? Or are they junk? Guys beware of that Km whatever bumper I think after reading that the mounting style of the bumper is more dangerous than anything...of course around here we make most of our stuff work the way we want it anyhow
