turn signal problems

So i replaced my hazard switch with one unccpath sent me (thanks btw), and now i only have a left hand turn signal, no right, no hazards. When i try to signal right, i get a buzzing noise, and when i hit the flashers, nothing. Before i go and tear more stuff apart, anyone have any advice or clues as to what it could be?? thanks

no problem...

check the sockets as well with a multi meter i just had an issue where the bulbs were not seating all the way...but as the others said change out the flasher and check the wiring...u also might want to check the rust/corrosion in the sockets and on the wires esp up there in the salty roads land

also to diagnose my splicing job that somehow got botched i took the left turn signal loose (my working 1) and plugged it into the right side to nix out the actual burn signal assembly

update...tore everything apart today, got the signals to work on a constant with a jumper and fuse...so the flasher seems to be bad after all. Go to put it all back together, and everything works fine for ten seconds then goes now all i have is my left signal again. I went to pep boys to get a new flasher (part ep34 by their books), plug it in, and all the fuses blow instantly. As soon as i replace the fuses the plug the original flasher back in the left works again. What the hell is the exact replacement flasher part?? Been to two stores so far and they are clueless about everything, and im getting tired of using hand signals while shifting

and im getting tired of using hand signals while shifting

yall use those up there? heh...i bet no1 pays attention to the hand signals unless its a middle finger...if u want when i get home i will try to look and see on the wiring harness what the PN is on it and i could possibly send that to u if i can locate it in that mess

but i dont think the flasher should have caused u to blow a fuse unless u have a short somewhere but i could be wrong... they run that wire for the right signal in a kinda crappy place and its quite possible that the insulation got rubbed off and its grounding out on the frame i dont know if u backed it all the way out or not but it might be worth a shot if some1 else thinks its a short...

are you sure you have no prewiring for a trailer? or any evidence of it? when i was down in moab this last june my trailer plug was wrapped around my hitch, hit it on a rock and it tore out all of the wiring. i didnt notice until dan told me my brake lights were not functioning. i would check that again.

Rockauto.com lists the Emergency flasher as Bussmann #232 (Also list Bussmann #758)

Schucks.com (PartsAmerica.com) lists the same one you have Tridon EP34 and LF12 ("Loud Flasher", not sure what that means)

AutoZone.com lists the same as Schucks along with a "Loud Kit" LF12-K

Napaonline.com lists the EP and LF parts above along with 44750

Based on the fact that so many list the part you have, it is safe to assume that you have the right one. But it is possible that the one you have is defective.

Otherwise I would assume a short as others have stated. If the original is bad that could explain why it does not blow all the fuses out.
