  2. yeah, good luck with keepin' the roof sealed. i swear, every time i've ever drilled into the roof it's taken like a gallon of silicone to keep it from leaking! :furious:
  3. dude, the springs are so simple. i think the most "challenging" part is cutting off the pig tails, but take 'em to a shop and have 'em cut off with a torch, if u don't have one yourself, then just put em in like the stock one's. it's not really too hard
  4. well, keeping that cash comment in mind i think ill let this one go for a little while. i've got a few others tricks up my sleeve first, then i'l tackle that one!
  5. hey who came up with "rock washers"? my dad and i used to get big washers and his body would bind them together for us using welds and they were basically the same thing, worked great too!
  6. SWEET! let me know. i've taken all my skid plates off. the stock ones are crap. broke the t-case one in the dunes...THE DUNES!!! how do u do that??
  7. hey im not sure if there's already a thread about this (i dunno how to use the search thing correctly ) but anyways, i wanna switch out my drum brakes in the back for discs, which are easily found on 1995's and such. can it be done? has anyone done it before? any threads? please for za infoooo! haha thanks
  8. how much were they about? i had thought about doing this since they have two large inputs and the second large input is perfect for my dual battery set-up
  9. there are a ton of kids around here with wheelers that i'd like to tell about this. my buddy just bought a suzuki samurai, i know, i know, but he's learnin'! anyhow, id distribute these wherever i go, especially since i go to hollister and clear creek a lot! Sweet!
  10. ac isnt that bad. their selection at least is all on one page. it's kinda nice for newbies to see what is available for their trucks all on one site, ya know?
  11. be easy with cleaning them, i broke mine and the connections are fine. sometimes the residue in the cotton swab's adhesive will fry the sensor. g@y, i know :furious:
  12. i bought my pathy from a teacher at my high school. when i pulled up the carpet for my first real cleanin' i found a bunch of broken glass but just figured someone had busted his window in before. then, while removing the backseats i found 200 bucks. now, buyin' my pathy for 1400 bucks and findin' 200 bucks makes it only 1200. not bad, if u ask me!
  13. see now that looks pretty clean. i like that!
  14. decisions can be very hard, i know. just remember, you gotta enjoy whatever you do, and make sure it's what YOU want to do, no one else. that's what it's all about isnt it bro?
  15. i had a leak in my oil pan from the idiot before me piercing it wih a f*94ed up parking job on a broken curb do-hicky, and he had it repaired. it didn't leak bad, but when i tried full synthetic, since i get free oil from the Queen Luber as we like to call our hell-hole of a work site (jiffy lube), it leaked like a mofo. that's probably because the guy who repaired the oil pan did a shotty job, but it still might make sense to use some synth. blend first for a while, then go for the fullsynth. just a suggestion. hell, i'm supposed to be an expert! hahah....no really, that's not very funny
  16. i think he was referring to his rig
  17. i love buyin stuff that no one has. makes ur rig unique, ya know?
  18. hey filthy, welcome! would it be possible to get a parts list on that custom mod? with all credit to you, of course....
  19. yeah we use our drills all the time at work for tight-quarters suspension jobs on little rice rockets where you can't fit and impact wrench in their. works great! Osh, Home Depot, Lowes Hardware...anywhere like that has them for cheap
  20. and that 3/4" of lift on your tbi didnt effect the bolting of the "air box" to the valve cover? or did you have to get longer bolts for that one too?
  21. sweet! off to the hardware store!
  22. for all of us who don't like spending lots of $$$ on new parts and don't mind good used parts, try this place in sacramento (central cal.). i used to live in rocklin, which is like 10 mins. from this place. here's the web link: N.O.W. nissan only wreckers they have tons of pathy stuff and get new one's all the time from wrecks and what not.
  23. nevermind, i have the factory rack like grim's
  24. hey all, i got my surco rack in just recently, and i have to say, it's a bit flimsy. i couldn't figure out how to mate it with my factory rack, so i turned the mounting bars to run along the basket the long way, and it fits now, but it's o high off the roof! and the bar in the middle is weak, so im gonna try and find something to support it with, like a bar or something. Lextronics, can you pos a pick of how you mounted yours? maybe if i mount it your way it will be stronger? if you would, take some shots of the mounting points to te factory rack? i'd preciate it!
