  1. damn i think the best post on this thread was when vsicks said he the words "leaving" and "forever", IMO OF COURSE! gimme a break man you think everyone here is a as "smart" as you? god, get a life
  2. try your nearest junkyard. that should only be like a 5 dollar part or so p.s. i dont think you will damage the axhaust by running it this way IMOP Ben
  3. good question and since i am purchasing )hopefully) a 1990 pathy soon id like to know the answer to this someone so hopefully someone chimes in with some info. 88 maybe? Ben
  4. hey there hank! well, i leave on the 13th of february, so im not gone yet. sent you an email and well i would like to see precise1 (bernard) pick it up because his 95 is failing him with a screwy front end, but if he decides it's not what he's looking for, you are welcome to come and check it out. i'll let you know in the next couple of days! oh ya, and welcome aboard mate! yaharrrr lol Ben
  5. ha! i know how being without the pathy feels. ook my shop a little over 2 weeks to do my engine swap and i was heart broken! haha well hey man when u get your 4x finished hit me up and maybe we can get a bunch of guys together to go wheeling or somethin, try out the new system ya know. good luck bro! ben
  6. v6, youre very blunt, but you get your point out there. i on the other hand like jp's bumper and neri's design as well. i think i'll try my hand in fab if i get the new pathy ('90).
  7. hey steevo, btw, and a little off topic, but how far along are you with the gathering of the 4x parts? im getting a 1990, white, looks hella like yours but 4x of course and love the look of it...just wonderin when we can go wheelin with the new 4x memeber man!
  8. so where do i send this check to for both bumpers? lol good stuff man i definitely want one in white for my new '90
  9. hey but that body lift makes it soooo easy to get to! lol just adding to the wants sorry bout that!
  10. hey guys, well, i wanna nab a few black steely's from summit racing (they have free shipping ), but not quite sure if my tires are gonna fit and wanna get backspacing that sticks the tires out more than they are now (not at all stuck-out). can anyone give me some numbers, maybe even a model number of yours? thanks and merry christmas guys
  11. actually, it's fairly simple if a)u take your time, b)you don't cut corners and c)you have an air gun handy to break the main cap bolts and third member bolts apart with
  12. ya that interlock has saved my arse a few, if not many times...use it wisely however, holding the key over too long will fry the starter (already been down that route). anyways, try it out, get the feel for it, then use it to your advantage and let it work it's magic! (most important part: HAVE FUN) As for the security switches, they are as follows: impact 0n/off will let you set your alarm to off in the case of a collision when the truck is off. scenario: truck's parked outside, someone hit's it and you're not home. the alarm goes off and no one can shut it off. that's with the switch on. switch off will not set off the alarm so if the truck is hit, the alarm will not keep going and drain the battery, which would just be another pain in the arse, besides being hit. The Alarm on/off switch is the master switch for the alarm system: i.e. if you didn't want you're alarm to work at all, while allowing you to turn it back on whenever. can't think of a situation where u'd need that off the top of my head, but im sure someone will chime in with one. with that said, have fun and welcome to the boards!
  13. the 4wd pathy's have a deeper sump on the oil pan, and i think something else was moved or something, but basically no difference. same block, same heads, same intake system. i just finished putting my headers on so i'll take pictures tonight in class and post on here later. they might gie you a better idea of what to do. good luck bro and i love the enthusiasm and determination you are putting into this! reminds me of myself! i coulda bought another pathy, but instead i dumped 8 grand into mine, got taken for a LONG ride, payed it off, and guess what? no regrets. i love my truck and so far it loves me back (besides the occasional hiccup, but she always recovers) had to name her after an ex girlfriend, jill, cuz she was always there even when things get a little squirly. take it easy man, and i'll get you those pics. hey we should go boarding this winter! my cousin has an apartment in elk grove, so i use that as my pit stop, then hit boreal, bear valley, squaw, etc.
  14. check the frt swaybar bushings, sounds like you've got a bad one
  15. hey guys. well, not so great news....after almost 5 hours in auto shop, with a lift and all of the necessary tools and a few helpers we didn't finish. First off, the EGR tube and the one connected to the back of the block are a BI*H to put on the new headers!(*&^(*&(*...ok, sorry bout that. Anyways, after fighting with the stock y-pipe to release the stock manifolds so i could remove it, we got that lose and the manifolds came off. my engine is fairly new and was put together about 3 months ago, so the bolts were FARILY, not much, easy to remove. some were friggin frozen, which always sucks. SO, after removing the stock manifolds, we put on the pass. side thorley. fit like a glove no problems. only thing is you gotta tighten to of the studs down with a 12MM wrench since you can't fit a socket in there. sucks, but hey, i did it. The driver's side was a little trickier. So, it comes in two pieces, i still don't know why, but it does. so i figured i'd bolt on the first piece, the one with the egr and other-thingy pick-ups on it, so i did. went alright. then the egr and "other-thingy" won't thread in (tried for 2 hours to do this, no joke) (*$&%(#*#(*@. ok, sorry. then i say *my "vocabulary" is so small* it, just put the other piece in so we have both headers in. guess what? you have to put both pieces in at the same time because it won't fit otherwise! GAH!!!!!!!!! so yeah, i left my college auto shop in shame last night at 10:30 and that's where I left off. now it's turkey day, so im gonna stuff my face and hopefully get back to the grind this evening. wish me luck! happy t-day all!
  16. i think tomorrow when i put 'em on im just gonna throw 'em on like they are and see how it goes...if i come out with leaks or something like that, i'll have 'em decked, but im wondering if maybe they're outset for a reason? maybe so there is a better seat on the actual head surface, then the gasket fills in the rest??? beats the piss outta me, but hey, trial and error. i'll let ya know since im doing mine first!
  17. already on it, p1! gotta get my good work clothes on, haha. naw, im too shy for the camera but them shiney thorley's damn sure ain't! a thorough write-up and many pics to come, probably after thanksgiving weekend. anyone who knows of that thread, i'd appreciate a link. gracias seniors! have a happy thanksgiving all!
  18. i was looking for that thread where one guy was questioning the out-set of the header tube ends from the flange. I was wondering the outcome of that thread, since my flanges have the tube ends protruding slightly also. just wondering if i am gonna run into any problems tomorrow evening when i do the install. thanks guys! happy, happy, happy, happy! NO MORE TICKING! BUWAHAHHAHAHAA
  19. Replace the compression rod bushings. mine pulled for hella long, did all the brake work possible, then replaced those bushings and it stopped. if one is rotted or worn out just a hair more than the other u will feel it pull. sucks really, bad engineering imo. good luck and if that doesn't work im sure u could always buy a new truck! haha jp man, good luck tho. -Ben
  20. you better have that pathy at 120k and past that!
  21. so now what lesson was learned with this whole ordeal? jp man, im glad u get your truck back. the nerve of that guy to try and tie down a nissan!
  22. awesome idea! now if someone wants to go wheeling in my area, we can rescue each other from this concrete jungle!!!!!
  23. hey man, good right up and right on for the poor man's mods! gotta keep us "less fortunate" guys afloat in this sport!
  24. ok, common guys, i leave for a few weeks and this is what i get to com back to? dead thread.....p1, if you'd be so kind as to.....DELETE.
  25. ya i know what you mean, and then you spend one evening where your like, dude, i need to make something for my truck, and you come up with like 50 new things to do to it! OH GLORIUS PATHYS! they full-fill my life when i need busy work after a long relationship comes to an end! haha good stuff...emo, but good.
