  1. Besides your headlights, what types of things do you want to do?? Stuff for offroad, onroad, fancy air freshner... ??? What types of things/ideas do you like? Like Luke said, try the search function, or troll the board for ideas, there's lots of info here!
  2. and keep the shiny side up!! happy hoho everyone!
  3. No, when we was a moderator, it was simply to help clean up stray posts & crap online. An office job of sorts I guess... TO LOOK COOL! sheesh! But what is wrong with going out for a coffee with friends or people with similar interests? Yes, wheeling would be a hell of a lot more fun, in YOUR opinion (and mine) - but we cant always go wheeling, and not everyone shares the passion for wheeling like we do. ...and for the record, I'm STILL not taking this personal.
  4. I am proud to say my last tank of gas got me a whopping 330km's. That of course is on a lifted truck, and bigger than stock All Terrain Tires, and a big non aerodynamic bumper on the front. And it's been pretty damn cold theses days. I have been averaging 400km/tank. When it was stock I was closer to 500km/tank in the summer and 400/km tank in the worst of winter with warming up the truck & whatnot. I do about 50/50 highway city driving.
  5. if it were only as easy as "SLAPPING" a snorkel on... There are a few other things you need to worry about... breathers for diffs and whatnot, so you dont get water in... Also, if you get stuck & get water IN the truck, you have to be wary of the computer in the cabin. They're not water resistant. (and they're not cheap)!! I'm sure others have more specific advice...
  6. wasnt personal at all... just sayin s'all.
  7. I *think* that started in 2002?? I have a 3.3 in my 99.5 According to some Nissan advert, appearently the '05 is the best so far. uh huh... Besides... it's the driver, not the rig.
  8. HOT DAMN! where is my I TOLD YOU SO! I TOLD YOU SO! smilie? hehehe... As for the hate on for Xterra's... I like them. Can't say much bad about em. Although I'm not the type to sit around and insult other people's rigs to justify my own. For the record, the guy who asked me to park around the back, is a former Pathy owner. I know he's just jealous. As for Mall crawlers.... DSM Guy, you are right... most pathys & Xterras will never see more than a puddle on a highway... doomed for a life of soccer games and grocery runs. (But you gotta eat right? I can fit a pile of groceries in my R50!) I do have to giggle at the people who put brushguards and lights on their SUV's to LOOK cool.... last year I won a set of snazzy offroad lights, which I ended up giving to my hubby. At the time I wasnt likely ever going to wheel the pathy. I refused to look like a wanna be. That was my call. (My how things have changed in a few short months... I had to go out & buy myself a set of those same lights to put on the path after I lifted it, and got tires & the bumper! hahah) So, I have a "gay Nissan", I'm the odd one out... I dont fit in the the Jeep crowd, or the Xterra crowd, and even here with the WD21 crowd.... but who gives a rats ass... I wheel with them all and have a blast. I enjoy taking my truck out, and I dont spend the entire time whining about pin stripes. And I have no problem hauling their silly asses out of a jam when they get stuck. We went to Camp NL last summer, a 3 day wheeling event (90% Jeeps), and every day we would join up with the group we were assigned with, and the trail leader would look at my truck and say, well I dont know about the pathy... it might have some difficulties... hmmm... lets see here... how many times I get stuck that weekend. That's right. NONE. Granted, I couldnt do some of the more advanced trails, I need sliders... next year I'll likely step it up a notch. As for the hate on for Jeeps... I have nothing bad to say about them either. Yes, there are a lot of Jeepers with the holier than thou attitude... Good for them - live your sheltered little life, I dont need you to be my friend. We wheel with a great group of Jeepers, who take care of us, and we take care of them. We have both learned a lot about e/o's rigs, and wheeling in general, just from hanging around a different bunch of people. I find we both have pros & cons with our trucks... and it's really about what makes YOU happy.
  9. Well that's too bad.. a bit suprising... down another R50... I was suprised when lovebunny said the same about his.
  10. odd... battery in one of mine went this week... it was unlocking, but not locking... but I dont think I was having as many issues as you. Meh, for the cost of a battery, worth a try~!
  11. Because those Xterra driving bastards on the above mentioned board ask me to park my pathy BEHIND the building at coffee meets... They started it. JERKS. How was the meet Luker?
  12. Youre such an a-hole Luker... and yeah, I know and love you. I'd say there's a chance you'll get a few of em out - depending on who shows... but chances are good most of them will stick to their coffee... I'd be heading to that meet, but chances are it's gonna take me 2 hours to get home from work, so why head west 40 mins out of my way first... oh, and please... 1. please define gay vs. non gay Nissan. 2. You werent kicked out because you wheel, you were kicked because of jackass threads like this attacking those who dont wheel. (that said, I'm still pretty pissed about the 2nd time, as I saw no reason for your being booted... I miss you over there.) xoxox
  13. Dont mind Luker, shiney things hurt his eyes I think ... lol... thats why we cover ours in mud. Nice matte colour when we're thru with em!
  14. That makes sense for steering parts - but what about the things he's mentioning... ???
  15. the two inch lift is relativly easy... have a looksie here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4990

    WTF

I aint seen sh*t! Firefox saves the day?? *hopes*
  17. I typed that, thought about it, then decided... *meh*
  18. speaking of braking - just b/c you have an SUV - doesnt make you invincible... you may be able to get thru the snow easier, but you wont stop any better then everyone else -- so take it slow! Taking it slow is the key to driving in 2wd, also - I drove my 2wd pick up (read: very light ass end, rear wheel drive) for 7 winters... I got used to having the truck's ass end sway to either side when I'd try to take off... kinda fun, as long as there's lots of space around you! Because it was a 5 speed manual, I would also use the engine to slow the truck (shifting down) instead of braking where I could.

    Thanks 88

    Let her wheel it!
  20. lots of good info here... also, if you're in a skid or slide of sorts, and want to steer a certain way... LOOK in the direction you want to go... dont look at the pole youre trying to avoid.
  21. I wasnt going to come back, but that email changed my mind... looks like 88 has been busy... For those of you who didn't get it - you missed the following: I may have mispasted a part there
  22. Hope you get the white beast rolling again. What you need Luke, is a nice carry case for your propane torch... a nice neutral colour that wont clash, no matter what you wear! Perfect for all occasions~!
