ooOoOo... I get to be the first with the AC lift to reply?? Actually, I would say that this is a good start, and search on this board & others to see what general opinions are. I found a lot of info & opinions that way... I ended up going with the 2" AC lift with KYB Struts, Bilstein Shocks. That's what made me happy... had no issues with it (other than topping out ON road like herm mentioned)... It does drive a lot more like a truck than before, not as cushy as stock, but it only took me a few weeks to get used to that. If you concider spacers like 98silverpathy mentioned, I suggest you do some research into those also, as I have heard some negative feedback on the idea of them. Again, the end decision is yours... but make it educated. Warn Hubs, I see no problem waiting for May... I had my lift done last April, have had no issues, but I will be installing the hubs this spring to lessen wear on my CV's. That all said, I could swear I read a post from you only a couple days ago said you were selling... ????

We called & ordered the ARB today, and he ordered the Volant intake. If the shipping gods are good to us (in my case, that happens never) we'll be picking it up the weekend we see you. Then we'll have a looksie at how easy (or not) it will be to apply to my truck. Yet another frustrating case of why dont they make parts for the R50's.

np, all good... *hug* I think a good first step is to chat with Jim to see what we can do to help support his board. I think we need to be able to upload new paid member's info pages if he is unable. And if the time comes to renew the hosting, then we want to know it can be done. Also, like mentioned before, it would be nice to have the access to kill the trojan, and upgrade where needed.

There are no snorkels on the market for the R50. The closest we know of is the ARB Safari Snorkel for the Navarra (also been applied to the Xterra) When we get C4S's snorkel for the X, I'll be stealing it for a bit to line things up on the pathy... I have seen it done once on a truck in (japan??) and I think it looks ok - but others have complained about its fit. I think it beats the looks of any of the homemade jobby.

uhh yeah... *had no idea* --- regardless... I want to make sure NPORA stays up & running. 88, because youre the only one in touch with Mr. Jim, youre the only one who really knows, or can find out how we go about doing that... switching hosts, upgrading the board, free puppies for everyone... whatever it takes... I dont want to log on one day to see *poof* nothing.

who/when was this? would turning the head of the snorkel around have helped him? (not facing forward)

not sure what youre asking for... basically, weigh out the difference in price & miles - what's worth more to you. which one has the toys you want... and your gut feeling... if in your heart you like the QX4, I'd say go for it! In general they are all the same truck.

very true... but I wouldnt mind footing the bill for an alternator (oh wait - already did... in that same damn hole! haha) compared to the price of a new engine. But your point is taken, a snorkel WONT make you invincible. V - did DD's alty die right away, or show any signs that day? I know it died on his way home?? only reason I ask, is we went wheeling last winter, blew through some puddles, all was good... until the next day, weather got cold, and the water in the alternator froze, and killed it. was wondering if that's what happened to him there.

pathy got a few presents: - new wiper blades - a cool lighter socket flashlight >>clicky here - sunvisor organizer - new stereo - panasonic CD/MP3 Player (I think the tapedeck embarrased the hubby) - haynes manual oh, and that Xterra thing got a snorkel.

That is a shame to hear... I hope things turn around for him. hmmm... I guess that explains why anyone who has paid for membership hasnt got their page up... is there anyway to look after that for Jim? Also, with that said, when renewal time comes for the hosting on these pages, is NPORA doomed??
