Isent there a seal on the tranny pan? Dont you have to gently pry it off? I may be wrong...

Ya , I got all 4 shocks from them when I purchased thier complete lift kit. They are comparable to Rancho 5000's, or at least thats what Ive been told (88 I belive?) No problems in the first 1000 miles.

There is a rather long thread in the zuki forums on pirate I belive with this guy bashing the poeple at Calmini. He thinks they stole his idea on pinions or something. A real wack job, one of those people who might come into your work who you want to shoot in the face with a nail gun.

Ill be getting a P99 9mm the DAY I turn 21. Nice looking peice you got there.

Actually, those rims do exist, I dont know if they are actually on that show car or not. Either way....blegh

I dont think it will look tacky at all. I think it will look great. Back on topic your going to need those long black metric bolts that are only included with the pathfinder kit. If you have those youve won half the battle already. If not, id search to find the size youll need. And it is possible, I have a 3" susp and 3" body lift on right now.

Im using a MAAP torch right now. I let the thing soak in castrol super clean for a couple hours, If anything than to take the paint off so It can be welded on easy. Im going to go outside and bang on it somemore. Wish me luck....

In the 2 years ive owned this truck I have yet to turn on the AC. If its easy I wouldent mind letting it take a hike as well. For some reason the AC air burns my eyes, im a freak i know.

Ive been using the flat end of a chisle on the lip and beating that with a hammer....No luck yet, Ill try more heat. I just dont have a welder or anything.

I got the column out and am having a hell of a time getting it loose. Soak it in penetrant and then wd-40 and have been doing that every 5 minutes. I even heated it up with a torch for awile. I guess time and more wd40 will tell. I have to get it done by tonight! 89, my truck drove like crap with only SL. I trimmed the front fenders to hell and I still rubbed (enough to cut) I would not recomend it, DONT DO IT.

Thanks, ill report back when I get started this morning

Alright, had a friend come over and help finish up and change out his studs. Its almost done, runs and everything (suprise). Only 2 more things to fix up, first being the steering column. Im not quite shure where to get more slack outta the steering column, after the SL it was running out and now its about a half inch too short. Do I loosen the bolt at the bottom by the power steering unit to take more shaft out or do I have to weld another piece of rod in there (aka screwed). The last question is the front bumper....WTF?! ghetto to the max with this thing. Anyone have any pictures of how that riged this POS? Finally, a picture of my progress...

After I took the jack off and did the other side it slid right in. Almost done!

I did mine at 105,000, waterpump too. To bad these things can look fine and fail the next day eh?
-
Alright, im getting there, my first major problem. I jacked up the body and put the first 4 blocks in and put bolts through them, on the final rear bolt I go to put it in and the bolt is off from lining up by about an inch. Did I bend the body or something? Anyone else run into this problem?

There is a small bottom piece that came out and will provide just enough clearance to trim it while its still on the car. Thanks for the info!

Good idea, my only concern would be liability. This is America, people will sue for anything. Something I would take into consideration is taking the persons credit card info down and charging a flat fee + time in the shop. If any tools are missing or damaged you got yourself money in advance. If nothings wrong all the money would be returned to siad persons acount.

Thanks 88, tomarow Ill check it out and get back to yall.

Ive started the BL and everything is detached from the body/firewall but Im just having trouble with the fan shroud. Am I supposed to completely remove this beast or just trim it while its on there? Ive been reading some old posts and I guess some people had 2 piece shrouds but mine shure seems like a 1 piece, its not going anywhere without the fan blades getting in the way. Ideas, or comments would shure be appreciated. I know some of you have had this issue before and I would love some input. (im freaking exited....)

When I first saw this pic I thought you were holding it up with 1 hand. Then agian Ive had a couple screwdrivers and that sounds feasable right about now...

So, this BL has been sitting in my garage for a couple millenia now, and I cant put it on even if I wanted to. The problem, twisted frame. The mechanic I had do my alignment after the SL siad that the alignment was maxed out and that lifting the truck another 3" would make impossible to align becouse the frame is twisted about 2" or 3" on the passenger side. I dont know how much a frame pull costs (im asuming about as much as the trucks worth), I was also wondering if there was a way to weld on a bigger screw surface area to the front arms for more alignment travel? Anyone ever had a frame pull and if so how much was it? Thanks....im pretty bummed.
