  1. check around to make sure everything has a good ground... including the starter. if oyu have a loose wire/ground somewhere it will cause intermittent problems. as above, if you are using the lock option (have to start truck with clutch.. i use it) then switch it off and see if that makes a difference. I would point the figner at a bad ground or the starter. god luck and hello and welcome!
  2. thomas is correct. on my 5 speed it was a tight fit but the stock EGR went back in with no mods.. just a bit of heave ho'in from me n "the boys"..... now that it's been on there a while 9a year) it goes back in no problems.. no force needed. my auto pathy has BL and SL...... so i am thinkin slight mods will be needed once i get thorleys for it.
  3. no injector issues here. 91 & 92 4 door vg30-e's

    exhaust leak

duals look good until the first time you catch them on a rock wheeling....
  5. i think they're right. if you don't do the proper steering upgrades ( L & P upgrades) then you will start to fubar parts very quick.. depending what type of wheeling you do, and how often. susp lifts are harder on the parts than BL's........ but if you take the proper precautions and get allt he upgrade goodies then you should have many happy wheeling trips with few issues. if you are hard on your "stuff". then yer gunna break SOMETHING.... TRE's and CV joints are the first to go POP....
  6. i only need 1. for king caca. mini me is keeping her smitty. she likes it and has used it sly and it's kinda on there..... permanent. really........ permanent. sssh

    OMG OMG!

i say DO IT. if she doesn't like it. direct her towards the garage and the tool box. unless, as above it is HER vehicle, and or it takes the kids to school everyday.. then i think she's SOL
  8. and here's my lame exhaust sly http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11334
  9. sssh not quite sure. when i can finally drive king caca i am gunna down mini me and drop the diff, let dave play with it, change my cv's, fix the oil pan leak, and do a few other things to her. i'll know more when we pull the diff cover
  10. superwinch do NOT make ML hubs for the 28 spline pathys. summit did the same thing to me.. they fit a damn 3/4 ton chevy tho (31 spline) milemarker and warn make the hubs for us 28 spliners. i have the MM's and they have worked great for me...... until my diff gave out.. now i have reliable hubs adn no diff = no 4wd.... the MM's are $85 from summit and the warns are about $145..... *note* the MM's are good, and reliable for mild to medium runs.. if yer gunna go hardcore or "uber rough" wheelin then you may want to lok into warns i have heard from a few peeps under extreme wheeling conditions the MM's tend to blow occasionally. i did post the year/spline somewhere. and to my memory. 87-89 were 27 spline and 90 - 95 are 28 spline and beyond are 31 spline..
  11. thorleys from summit racing.. $340 to your door. broken studs.... what fun. see pic. play "spot the snapped off stud"..... 2 more broke off after that pic was taken......
  12. no wonder it wasn't showing up. when i joined it never added me!
  13. they were 29's on stock steelies....... the ONLY time my stuff hasn't rubbed... once the 31's were on.. i have had 3 different BS on the pathy. and until i cranked the t bars a bit.. they rubbed with 31's.... *sighs* typical my luck..... lol
  14. do the headers look like this? (ok, i know they won't look like THAT. but you get the idea!)
  15. oof. i could rebuild my engine with the tools i carry! but here's what some of the stuff is (major must have's) 8, 9, 10,12,14 & 17mm sockets (long and short) std and metric wrenches adjustable ratchet 3 different lengths of extension bars straight ratchet cheater bar vise grips in 3 sizes hammer phillips and straight screwdrivers 10mm alan socket set of 2-10mm alan wrenches needle nose pliers (for when i drop washers n stuff..) magnetic thingie with a light on the end duct tape zip ties of every size imaginable spare rad hose coolant motor oil gasket sealer small piece of cardboard ( to make emergency gasket) air compressor tarp bungees of every size, shape, n color tow straps my FSM and my cell phone -bounce-
  16. yup. aaron is right. dave was lookin at em for my 91 pathy (that's auto)..... bein as he rebuilds trannys... but i figure i actually have to DRIVE the stinkin thing on the road to find out if i actually want to KEEP it yet and the tranny was only used 6 months after rebuild before truck was sitting. i think northern automotive also make rebuild/shift kits for them.. i think that's where dave found mine
  17. the part you are referring to is a heat shield. mine never had a "filter" in it... yours may have had some form of heat resistant pading/resonator in there..... as long as you have the heat shields on there you're ok. you could probably buy the stuff you are referring to on ebay or something, but i personally wouldn't worry about it.
  18. some came with 29's stock.... like mine. now she has 31's and they rubbed until i did a lil t-bar crank sly
  19. we can honestly say "we feel your pain"........ but yeah. 1 broken stud would really piss me off. i had 4 in the last motor and 6 in the one before.
  20. this is what i'll be wheelin with this winter ..... i think it's time to bust out king caca.....
  21. *seconds the notion* :contract: but yes, casey T is right.. they fit auto and manual pathys as for your R50.. depending how much fabbign you wanna do is to how they will fit.
  22. welcome to the world of the pathyfinder. my 92 did that last year, especially after rain..... now they don't work at all.. or once every 6 months...... my 91 however was a victim of 2 attempted break in's so the PO decided to put keyless entry on it instead of changing locks/tumbler...... guess what? turn yer back and CLICK! yer locked out. have to be uber careful not to leave key in it at any time. my trucks hate me. plain and simple. one day i'll fix both. until then...
