Well.. that sounds like 2 friends falling out and nothing to do with the actual quality of Calminis products, and I have spoken with customer service several times and they were fantastic.. those 2 dudes however need to meet in a vacant parking lot and just brawl til tehy come to an understanding...WOW!

Sunfire!? what the...! I thought they had to give you something of equal 'value' and "type"... I can't see ANY similarity between a Pathy and a *coughs* sunfire!

A "come-along" is a device like if you have wratchet activated tie downs... you hook it onto something.. and get to "wratcheting" (I am NOT having a good time describing this)... it is cable operated unlike a tie down, and is very strong. You see them all the time with people hauling cars/trucks on trailers.. HELP!!!!!!! maybe I'll just go take a pic of one of ours and post it....

i paid $178 for my new clutch that included the t/o bearing. it too me (a chick at that!) under 1 hour to do the clutch.... (ok..so I've done clutches b 4..and my Pathy was, for once, agreeable..and I had the motor out...)

I paid $3600 for my 92 nearly 2 yrs ago....and it's a cali Pathy so no rust anywhere, super clean inside..one small door ding and a new smog cert... btw.. 4 door 5 speed

I use Champion Truck Plugs... always used them in my "non Nissan" trucks and find they last well and are not real expensive.

When I had the 29" tires on my Pathy...I had a much better turning radius..now I need ALMOST 40 acres....

As a general rule I always carry oil, tow straps, assorted parts, duct tape, water, pb blaster, rags, spare tire, tools, smokes, cell phone and a good selection of cd's....hehehe for off road trips I add a bottle of jack!

I love my 5 speed, and I just changed my clutch at 127,000 miles. Mine drives GREAT and the clutch is not heavy or cumbersome. I love shifting and listening to my new exhaust rumble..hehehe.. I like it better for off road, but don't like to shift a lot around town..that's the only minus. Some prefer the auto off road..less to do while wheelin around .....personal preference there. You have much less overheating problems with manuals, and like above, unless oyu install a tranny cooler on an auto that has just been rebuilt..it will go out eventually..like all trannys. I am sure one day mine will...but at 132,000 (shift-a-lot) miles, mine is smooth as a kitten. It seems (from reading several posts of sorts) that when working with a manual tranny over auto..manual seems to be a bit easier to maneuver around.. I pulled my motor in Feb '05..and lemme tell ya..taking all teh suspension apart pi$$ed me off more than anything else!

Doesn't 88 have an auto tranny?

hmmm... I have been mulling over the MAF sensor thing for a few weeks now...everything else has been done/replaced on my Pathy this year..... must.....go........look......

I have a 92 5 speed 4 door Pathy, and I just sold my 90 Jeep last year..guess which one got to stay in the stable, and which one was put out to pasture? Jeeps are much higher priced to buy used, and as above, are more troublesome... just get the auto Pathy n slap a tranny cooler on it..you'll be good to go.

If I had those instead of my 2x12's already in the back...baaaaaaad baaaaaaaaad things would happen with my seat vibrating any more while driving..

I did the T/O bearing when I installed my new clutch and pulled my motor. Not as big a deal as I originally freaked out about. It is a pretty straightforward job but if you are just dropping your tranny..it could be a bit more of a PITA for you than it was for me pulling the motor at the same time... Good luck!

Umm... I think I know the dude who is selling that Pathy! He bought some Firebird parts from us a couple weeks ago and had commented on my Pathy... hehehe... If you need any help.. I am in teh central Valley in Cali..there is a nice burgundy Pathy down the street 4 sale..looks like mine but diff color. I could go in fer a closer inspection if you like? Also! If you could possibly meet me half way, I would be more than willing to bring the Pathy halfway to you..if you pay for the gas..but $700 sounds like a real good deal for shipping

The best $178 I ever invested in my Pathy was ahving the AC recharged last summer.... it's supposed to be 106 degrees on Wed (102 on Tues & Thurs!) so I am suuuuuuuure glad my AC is pumped and ready to go! I had the system pressure tested (free at the time with "fill up"..I have th "old" freon crap) when I filler it up..ahhhhhhhhhhh..now...if we could get some ac in the house..THAT would be glorious! *wipes sweat off her brow*

I have a '92 manual Pathy and have not had this problem either

Glad you got her back... now to mess up that pretty paint.....
