  1. And also there are several other sensors that are grounded to the engine block, but the primary purpose of the straps from the manifold are for the O2 sensors since they are grounded through the manifold.
  2. I've heard very very mixed reviews about the MT/Rs. Some people swear by them - of course, these are the same people that only drive their trucks on the road to get to trails... The other group is a little larger and these are the people who DD their trucks. The most miles I've seen anyone get out of a set has been ~30k. A friend of mine slashed the sidewall of one on a curb. A sharp, skinny rock jutting into the sidewall of my 2-ply Dunlop didn't break through. I say that the MT/Rs aren't worth the price you pay for them. If they were the same price as the Dunlops or the Pro-Comps, then yeah, theyd be worth it...but for $50 a tire more? No way.
  3. The Tundra wheels will fit. 4Runner wheels will work also. I keep forgetting that you have an 02 and have to use 16" rims. Sucks for you...15" wheels and tires are substantially less expensive and more prevalent!
  4. I would look seriously at the Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers in that case. I'm about due for a replacement set, and they've got a touch over 46,000 miles on them. That's pretty damn good for a mud tire, and the Firestone guy who did my alignment was amazed that they lasted that long. About 3,000-3,500 of that is off-road - and I dabble when I wheel...rocks, mud, trails...you name it. They've held up EXTREMELY well, and they're very durable tires. I've abused the hell out of them and have torn huge chunks out of the sidewalls and they still hold air very well. One minor thing though is as they start to get worn out, they become nearly impossible to balance, and start to feather. If I don't go for a set of ATs, I'm definitely going to get another set.
  5. KV, Is more than 75% of your driving on road? What kind of wheeling are you doing?
  6. Yeah, I'm thinking it's normal, too, but I'll try swapping the ECUs first, since I have one, and that's easy enough...
  7. Here's one I've never seen before... My MIL has been on FOREVER, and I usually just dismiss it because of my never-ending EVAP issues - and I knew what the codes were. Well, I ran them again today just to make sure nothing new popped in, and so I know what parts/tools I need to get so I can fix it to get my truck smogged and registered before my registration runs out...yeah...hush! Well....There's nothing really out of the ordinary, and nothing unexpected. It had your typical PO440 EVAP code, and my standard two O2 sensor codes, and the ubiquitous Knock Sensor P0325 code.... Now, this is where things get strange....I've been having idle problems since last summer (along with a bad fan clutch, but thats another story....shut up! I know I should fix it!!) The Idle problem is stemming from the IACV-AAC valve, which is triggerin the DTC P0505 code (IACV-AAC or Circuit Malfunction....REAL DESCRIPTIVE!!!).... But....it also shows up with that code as Pending. Wait a corn-flabbing minute here!! How can something be 'Active' and 'Pending' at the same time?? But that's not all....the P0325 is showing up as 'Active' and 'Pending' simultaneously, as well!! Now...this leads me to believe that the problem is someplace else...perhaps within the ECU itself... Any ideas?
  8. If you order more than ~$75 from AC, they'll give you a sticker anyways... Go for the black ones...they'll look better and it's only $4 more in the grand scheme....take the $5 off from the sticker, and put that towards getting the black wheels, and you still come out a Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger ahead!!
  9. OMG!!! Your steering wheel is on the wrong side!!!
  10. Well...Thanks for tryin It's good to be reminded every now and then though.
  11. Oh....hell....that's nothing. That's what mine used to look like before I went to Moab. Now that whole side is torn off!! If I can get my digicam to work, I'll snap a pic...
  12. Isn't Alex buying yours Tyler....
  13. Congrats....you'll be happy with it once you get it on!

I already answered you on MSN n00b.
  15. Here's the link to the deal... http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/packages/in...?ParentPacID=46 $135.99 for 4 shocks and a steering stablizer. But, you still need to order the steering stabilizer bracket kit on top of that - as with any other stabilizer setup.
  16. What's the stabilizer shock you speak of? Steering stabilizer? If that's the case, you can get 4 ProComp shocks from 4WheelParts and a free steering stabilizer with it. Save you some money.
  17. It's the Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating stuff....You can get it at pretty much any auto parts store or superstore that sells Duplicolor products. IIRC they run about $4 a can.
  18. At this point, your transmission is pretty well toast. Your only option is to rebuild or replace it. The lowest cost option would probably be a known good, used transmission, followed by a rebuild, then remanufactured, then new.

Definitely not normal. As long as the diameter (inner and outer) and thickness are the same, you can use any snap-ring you please.
  20. Whoops. Sell some stuff. That's what I'm doing.
  21. I keep forgetting that you're in Canada, but you can get black rims much cheaper than that.
