If you have power coming out of the fuse block, check the Relay mentioned in the how-to that I linked earlier (should be in the relay box on the drivers inner fender under the hood marked as Power Socket 2). If there is power coming out of that, then your problem lies between the relay and the socket, or it's the socket itself. If there is no power from the relay, replace the relay.

Do you have a multimeter - or some way to test a 12V circuit? Test the circuit at the fuse, and at the power outlet. Then you can trace the problem that way.

Correct, but GL-4 is a subset rating of the 75W-90 (recommended type) gear oil used in the M/T.

Most of the parts counter guys are just that....they're trained to think that a higher number is necessarily better. It's not. They have very little, if any mechanical knowledge/experience. I do not trust what they tell me, as 98% of the time, it's flat out wrong.

I'm guessing some electrical connector was missed.

Ahh, cool, what are you changing from/to? I went through that about 2 years ago, it can be a hassle, that's for sure.

Just about everyone. Amsoil and Redline are fully synthetic and the best quality you can buy. Just go to the auto parts store and look around...there's tons.

Damn... That dealership sounds totally useless. At this point, I'd be tempted to drive up there and take a look at it myself and try to figure out what's going on with it...well, if I were still in Rochester. I hope you get it figured out soon! FYI - I'll be back in Rochester around Thanksgiving, so if you're still having problems and haven't given up on it and blown it to smitherines with a .50Cal Bertha, lemme know and I'll drive up one weekend and take a looksie.

Any trans cooler is better than no trans cooler. It's all a matter of fin design as to which one will cool more efficiently, and I think the Haydens have the best design. I know that Uhaul does not make their towing equipment, they have a major manufacturer do it for them, and they just label the stuff. You can't really go wrong, unless you have some moron install the hitch and screw up.

All Pathfinders are SUPPOSED to have a 21.1 (WD21) or 21.4 (R50) fuel tank. Nissan made them so the fuel light comes on wicked early. If I fill up right when it gets to E and the fuel light comes on, it'll take anywhere from 16.8-17.2 gallons. Never more than 17.4. When I ran it dry, it took 21.26 gallons, but I'm sure my volume is slightly smaller because of the little dent...heh.

It's GL-4. If you put GL-5 in it, it'll destroy your seals and rapidly start destroying your tranny.
