Personally, I think we're screwed no matter what. Right now, there's almost certainly a fair amount of collusion going on between the oil industry (among others) and Prez Shrub' administration, the powerbrokers are making their bucks, profits at are at an all time high, and we the common people are once again taking it in the shorts. Some kind of regulation is required to keep these yahoos in check. Once implemented, it can't be deregulated like so many others have been. Deregulation sure worked for the cable industry, huh? Prices went through the roof all the while your level of service declined. Meanwhile, cable industry profits soared. Same thing with Ma Bell after it was broken up into "Baby Bells". Same thing with the airlines, blah, blah, blah. Deregulation was supposed to be some kind of panacea for us: "It promotes competition, prices will go down", yadda, yadda, yadda. Deregulation in a word sucks! If you have no regs, you have exactly what we have now, spiraling prices with no end in sight. The rich get richer, and the poor get the picture...

I know you changed your LCA's to a newer year (don't remember~ 93-95?), I still have the "dog-bone" ones natch, but like the cleaner lines (& less weight) of the round ones you're using. Nice mod. Then again, although heavier, maybe the earlier ones are less prone to bending due to the cast extrusions? :confused:

KILLVOX, those look like a carbon-copy of the BFG AT's to me. I've seen the BFG's "on sale" for like $115., normally quoted at around $130. I've had them (BFG's) before ~ never again, a long story that I won't go into here. You got a good deal @ $95. I recently bought a set of Yoko's Geolander AT II's, as yet to try them off the pavement, but so far I like their road manners ~ quiet, nice ride, reasonably agressive looking, yadda, yadda, yadda. What doesn't show in the pic is some nice siping, staggered thickness to the tread lugs, etc. A well-thought-out tire, IMHO. About $108. each out the door for 31x10.50x15 ~ I can live with that...

Sheesh, lighten up SC, give the NooB a break. It's an 11 year old rig, what makes you think he was lucky enough to even get an owner's manual? That's a nice trick, you should go on TV... The search function on this BBS leaves alot to be desired, IMHO. You type in something to look for & you're presented with 4 or 5 pages ~ most of that crap that has nothing to do with what you're looking for, half the time it just pops out with everything in the garage section. Big help...

Yes, he is lazy. Your rig takes time to do correctly, it's not a brake job that any schmo can do in his (parent's) driveway in an afternoon. If you're looking for work, I hear we lost the Pope ~ you might be a good candidate, seeing how you have the patience of a saint... Get it out of there and to a reputable, competent shop. Saving money like you're doing costs alot more down the road. Let's say he's working on your lower end & Billy Bob comes by with an emergency Cherry Bomb replacement on his clapped-out '73 Duster. He drops what he's doing & goes to town on that, knowing he can make enough spending money to go out to the "Pig & Poke" for a few brews that night. He then resumes working on yours, forgetting exactly where he was. When do you find out? Probably when a rod comes through the side of your case...

Most appliances are baked enamel finishes, although some high-end ones use porcelain composites or more commonly, stainless steel. One of those little Eastwood systems would be nice if you had the extra bucks. I would love to see a total color-matched frame and suspension coating on my Pathy... Plus, I'm tired of repainting my tire carrier, etc. every few years...

This I know to be true, and they fit in the back of the 2-doors, too. Have had one for years ~ the main reason for not lugging around 1000w amps and 4 12's in a bandpass. I like using the cargo area for cargo ~ and other things...

On my RX7 (no probs on my Pathy) I was told my several "in the know" people at Mazda, etc., that I'd have to replace the whole driveshaft when the rear one took a dump on me. "Nonreplaceable" parts seem to be a mainstay sometimes when it comes to dealers. A competent driveshaft shop replaced them both no problemo. I'd check with a shop, first... I didn't see MB on that, but that does happen from time to time. Friend of mine in high school lost his front u-joint on his '64 Falcon while cruising town one night. Lifted the backend about a foot off of the ground. Polevaulting ~ no, but dang scary none the less... :o
