  1. ive used computer case panels, a cut up tailgate ..... and im gonna use my pathfinder hood to fix the floor in my D21
  2. if you get a 88 300zx vg30et ECU, you can put a turbo on it! the I think those ECUs can be tuned by nistune.
  3. no worries The factory service manual is pretty limited. When i got my D21 last fall, i lucked out, it came with a Hayne's repair manual. thanks grim Awesome, well its good to know they will work.
  4. i might be wrong, but arent the UCA's in the calmini 2wd lift the same as the UCA's in their 4x4 lift kit?
  5. hahaha good description. i hope to order a pair soon.
  6. well heres the reply i got: "...the arms will correct the ball joint angle - and other than these, basically all we have are shocks! Thank you, KARTEK OFF-ROAD."
  7. they say they offer more than what they show, so fingers crossed... download the pdf catalog...theres a bit more stuff in there, but we'll see what they have when they return my email
  8. i just shot them an email. to get some info on them and other nissan hardbody parts they might carry. i got a little excited when i seen them. P.S. Happy 4/20 everyone
  9. i stumbled onto these today... does anyone know about them?? there $270 if you get them not powder coated. http://www.kartek.com/Specials/TCFNissanUCAs.html
  10. anyone know about the UCA's with welded in ball joint spacers, compared to whats out there now? It says ball-joint spacers are the best way to lift the front. For the tubular ones it also said they provide a full 2" of lift.?? Awesome pics BTW, i love the retro stuff. All those pretty UCA's, in their pretty colours...
  11. i think i seen something like that,Called an anti-wrap bar. I think the axle end had a johnny joint, and i seen one with a shackle on the other end... http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/johnnyjoints.aspx Currie's Johnny Joint® offer 30 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction as compared to 22 degrees on a common heim joint.
  12. some of the parts.. The thing about a normal turbo is all the exhaust and air piping that takes up space under the pathy hood. With a centrifugal supercharger there is only an air intake. it also reduces engine temps and all the rest. No need to have to fit in a down pipe and all the rest. If you get a 300zx ECU, you can get it tuned. There is a product called Nistune, they install a chip/computer port to connect a laptop to it and the Nistune program lets you tune on the fly, with 3D air/fuel charts displayed in real time.
  13. you might want to look at centrifugal superchargers. belt driven, easy to mount. They also make more power at low RPM than a standard "roots" style supercharger. this one the V-9 series is designed for engine compartments with limited space. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/view.php?pcat=21 It sounds like your building a nice truck, give em hell. note: I know you said 3.3, but others might find it useful that to put a turbo or supercharger on a vg30e you gotta get an ECU from a late 80s 300zx with the VG30ET (Z31) engine, not the VG30DETT(Z32) as i thought before.
  14. ive thought about that, but not sure where to get the lift blocks. Ive heard of hockey pucks, but i dont know how good that would be. im always up for suggestions.
  15. for your rear axle, by twisting, do you mean articulating? maybe some swing shackles and/or gas compressed shocks?
  16. thanks for the info B, but its for a D21 not a pathy. i do think it had the right amount of spacers. im not sure on the pitch of the bolts, i think they were 6 1/2" long. Anyway, its only 75 bux, so i thought it might be worth it. The one on 4x4parts.com is $188.00, is that the one you were thinking of? i might get that one.
  17. Hey guys and gals, I have the chance to get a body lift for cheap, but its for a '97-'02 jeep TJ PART#9375. I was wondering if it would work on my D-21 hardbody?? Its brand new and he only wants $75 for it!.. so if it would work i would save a nice bit of cash. anyone have any ideas? Note: my truck is off-road only, and i can remove the box if need be...
  18. Its called axle hop. its something that old drag racers would worry about too. To help the reduce axle hop, on the '69 Camaro, chevy mounted the shocks on opposite sides on the axle. and thats your dose of useless knowledge for today..
  19. thanks for the info. i did think about using my old pathy body on the d21, but i just need to let her go... hahaha. It will live on through spare parts.
  20. it would be a tight squeeze for sure. Maybe some day when its on 1 ton axles haha. There is an old transfer case i want to use for a mud truck at the Local JY, its a NP200 from the 50's gear driven, no chain. from a 3/4 ton dodge military truck oh and theres a video on youtube with a 3.9 4bt in a rat rod. very neat
  21. Great pics redpath! i need to fix my floor/body mounts on my D21, and maybe body lift it at the same time. Anyone know if 3 inch BL on an automatic D21 will have any issues?
  22. lots to do on my "new" D-21

  23. so the D21 hardbody wont have this issue?
  24. id like a Cummins 3.9 turbo diesel in my truck. Theres not much of a selection for smaller diesels in N America
