  1. hey all, i haven't been around in a while since my pathfinder died (fried ECM). I was sad for a while, but then i came across a BLACK '93 D21 hardbody Automatic. The previous owner could not get it to start. turned out to be a bad ground. Picked it up for $200!!! Its only got 130,000 KM on it. Its got tons of power. needs a couple little things, mostly cancer removal around the wheel wells. By the way, do i have to find A Nissan Hardbody off-road forum now?
  2. I did this sorta thing with my 8500lbs Superwinch. Mounted it on 5/8th steal plate. welded the plate to upside down reese hitch (without a ball). got an old class 3 hitch receiver from a JY, cut off the mounting brackets. Then to mount the straight bar with the receiver hole, I drilled and bolted it to my front bumper mounts. I cut out the small peice of metal on the bumper between the turn signals so it would sit closer to the body. Having quick connects can make it easy to switch from from to back. I had hitch-pin with a key lock built in for security. I used it hard, abused it is more like it, and it never broke, never ripped off the front clip. lol
  3. Theres quite a collection of nice guitars in this thread, Ive been playing about 13 years, I have: Washburn Dime333 (dimebolt) yamaha APX-3 Acoustic - Tabacco sunburst colour yamaha electric bass, ($200 cheap-o) My brother has a fender stratocaster- deep red/purple with white pick guard A fender acoustic from the 70's... (I found it in my friends basement crawlspace) A Ovation Celebrity acoustic ( rounded back)
  4. hey, sorry i was away for a couple days. I fixed the wires with a combination of copper wire, saulder, crimp connectors and electrical tape. They were white with red stripe, green with red. those were the worst ones. I pulled the codes but only got code 55. No trouble code. I think it drained the battery too. I can get the codes to flash but wont turn the engine over. Turns over with jumper cables attached but wont start. Sounds like the pump is working, but not the spark. You are probably right about the ECU being damaged. would reseting it help? Also when i turn the key, not retriving codes, both red and green lights come on.
  5. I have a 93 pathy, and a hidden hole in the floor under the wiring harness going by the passengers feet. I think it is probably to the On-board diagnostic. Anyway water got in there and it started smoking on day. There were about 4 or 5 wires that had melted through. I repaired the wires, but now the pathy wont start. It will turn over but it will not start. Im gonna try and retreive the codes tomorrow, if anyone has any idea, please let me know.
  6. does anyone think the seafoam is the problem? ive heard a lot of mixed stories about it. Maybe the water remover you put in cleaned some of the gunk from the bottom of your tank, pulling it through the lines, probably would clog a new filter or injector in your case. was the water remover Ethanol or Methanol? Methanol has a higher octane. its worth checking out. they sell small bottles of 100% methanol at NAPA.
  7. Thanks for all the info folks the reason i never seen a king cab, is probably due to me living in a real small town in the middle of pretty much nowhere. I don't think id buy it though, as its nothing much different than my 4door pathy. My pathy frame is rusted right out. it was neglected by the previous owner(s). Engine oil looked like it was never changed, they decided it didnt need the O2 sensor plugged in...the spring seats on the frame are about to break off. It might be time to say bye bye to the pathy.
  8. I found a king cab D21 on kijiji for $850. Ive never seen a king cab version before. I was wondering what you guys thought. Are they hard to find? http://thunderbay.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicle...QAdIdZ132534096 http://thunderbay.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLargeI...4577min_18.jpeg
  9. aslong as its free of rust. My 93 pathy frame is rusted right out. It was not looked after by the previous owner. I want to give it a fitting farewell. It wouldnt be hitting trees or breaking off doors. I want to extreme wheel it until it wont anymore. I know ppl say its a waste but i live in the middle of NOWHERE. Keeping it for parts is not really worth it, unless i can find another pathy for cheap, with a solid frame. It wont be easy in Northern Ontario. I only know of 3 other WD21's in my town.. Let me know what you think. P.S. when my dakota was on its last leg i took it off some jumps my best was about 5 feet in height and about 20feet distance. then recycled as much parts as i could.
  10. maybe all the Canadian sold pathys were made in japan... just a thought. i also want to paint my pathy with some 80's/90's style racing stripes like the prerunner.
  11. You might want to take a look at the Rancho RSX shocks. they are twin tube nitrogen charged with self-adjusting valves, they stiffen up on the road and soften when you hit the dirt. I have them on the back of my pathy, i like them although i havent put a lot of kilometres on them. They are only a little more than the 5000's in price. a lot cheaper than the 9000's
  12. I have an EX, 5-speed vg30e 4x4, but it has a nissan 10 disc CD changer in the back. I thought that was cool for a base model. oh and heated floors haha
  13. where: Shaffer Jobbitt Law Firm what: Office B*tch, Master Stapler. why: My mom got me the job. Too sick / no energy from crohn's Disease to continue working hard labour. (Platinum mining company) My pay goes to medicine & cheap fixes for the pathfinder to keep me off-roading.
  14. i didnt think mine was too bad until, i stuck my finger though the frame! the original owner didnt take car of it at all.
  15. hey all! does your floor have any holes? my 93 pathfinder's was rotted right out. I ripped up the carpet and the insulation was soaked. ripped that up and there was a hole the size of my head. the exhaust runs right under my floor and started burning the insulation. kinda funny when your water soaked floor starts to steam due to hole being right above the exhaust flange.
  16. There is a new game coming out called fuel, it looks awesome. Cool storyline... This one screamer 4x4 looks amazing, especially the physics, at the start i thought it was real for a second there are also some impressive russian PC offroad games this one says it wasnt released but you can get it free this game looks amazing this one looks interesting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcQJ_6KF9zw...feature=related
  17. Ever since I got my pathy my friend asks me if I wanna go pathfinding but we also call it four wheeling, muddin, off roading or testing the winch LOL
  18. I bet it did as my Superwinch did and snapped the little screw (and i mean little) holding the cable end to the drum. I still had a nice few coils on the drum. My pathfinder was stuck too bad for the winch or that screw, and it popped. I Took it back where i bought it, said it was defective. They gave me a brand new one. I'm saving up for a snatch block to increase my pulling power. I also recently bought a bottle jack and a regular style jack.
  19. UPDATE: I made a small HHO generator out of a mason jar, and some steel washers for installing that blue R20 insulation on houses. I used 4 washers configured like -NN+ . I hooked it up to a battery charger and it started bubbling even at 2 amps. There was a lot more action at 12 amps. I used about 500 ML of de-ionized water and about 1 tablespoon of baking soda. This was a very small test, a prototype if you will. so now that ive seen it in action, i can build a larger cell and continue to improve on the design.
  20. Be careful when pulling a vehicle thats frozen in ice. I had to recover my friend's S-10 after he drove through a puddle so deep water was over the hood. The truck died and couldnt get it started so we towed it to my other friends place that was close. It went down to about -20 that night, so all the water from the puddle was solid ice. they went to tow it the next day and noticed that the tires were not rolling, even tho it was in neutral :s everything was frozen. im not sure exactly what froze to make the wheels not spin but im sure it wasnt good for the truck.
  21. Here you go, http://www.panaceauniversity.org/Hydroxy%20Boosters.pdf page 3... Next time try using google, it took me literally 2 minutes to find this. sometimes i think people who dont want to accept the facts, go out of their way not to be informed, as the old saying goes "ignorance is bliss"
  22. Yes, your right, it is ment to assist the gas. i guess calling it a hybrid in the thread sub-title wasn't descriptive enough. im glad to see some positive replys. P.S. DONT USE SALT FOR THE CATALYST. It creates chlorine gas. Also aluminum is not recomended for similar reasons.
  23. This is not a scam or spam... I recently found this on youtube. i dont have a video link cuz im at work. but type HHO in youtube or go to hhoforums.com for lots of info. HHO gas is hydrogen and oxygen gas (or Brown's gas) created by putting current through distilled water and baking soda (for conductivity). using something like a mason jar for the cell, stainless steel for the "electrodes". most ppl use thin stainless steel plates. with neutral plates between the positive and negative plates like -NNN+ for greater production. when a 12V current is put through it the electrolysis creates the HHO gas from the water. its then pulled from the cell (mason jar) by the engines vacuum pressure through a hose. then it is put through a bubbler, much like a bong without the weed. it is used to capture any water vapour that is carried with the HHO gas. then its straight into a carburator where it is sent to the engine to be burned. giving you better fuel economy. some people are posting MPG gains of between 10% and 75% depending on the car, and how well your set-up works. im starting to build a small HHO generator to test this out. For EFI cars and trucks it is a little bit more difficult due to the MAP an o2 sensors. but there are solutions out for that aswell. I will post my results as soon as i can.
  24. Some kid in here did something like this a few weeks ago. Took a STOCK 2007 silverado, drove it into this mudhole that i wouldnt go through unless i had a truck with 40"+ tires, lockers and some serious power. anyway, he buried it to the frame, then it went down to like -20. They had to use a groomer to pull it out of the hole after cutting out the ice from around the frame & tires with a chainsaw. safe to say his frame got bent to @!*% in the process.
  25. haha ya they are truely terrible. they wont even let a ambulance or fire truck get past in an emergency. i always thought, what if it were their house on fire... i used to live on baseline and it was like war trying to cross the road. just hope you make it back. lol
