    MAF sensor

Thanks for the offer, but I dont think the connections are the same, yours is a E not an I Mine is below the air cleaner which protects it from the hood
  3. Also, drive down some uneven pavement and watch to see if the front wheels flutter around and wobble, etc. Stick your head out the window and have someone else look out the passenger side. That'll tell you which side is causing the problem.
  4. Mine does the same thing. I was told it could be the center link, blown tension rod bushings and idler arm. Does yours get worse when you hit uneven pavement or little bumps here and there?

    MAF sensor

    An elongated temporary term, yes

    MAF sensor

I lied, couldn't stop myself from fiddling with it. Wasn't even the problem at all, I noticed a huge crack in some vacuum line on the back of the throttle body, so I cut it a little below the crack and put a screw in it. Cleared right up

    MAF sensor

Thanks for the replies and info, I'm going to go inspect some more. I'm not going to splice anything up yet till I get back from playin in the snow over the weekend, I still want it to at least run lol

    MAF sensor

Youn dont suppose its possible to break a wire inside the casing, do you? It appears good and fits tightly, but a few of the wires have kinks in them sort of

    MAF sensor

I think I totally effed something up in the wiring with the MAF sensor. Was jiggling the wires and it started idling like total ass, like its missing and choppy. Right off idle its fine (slight throttle application) and is fine after that. But as soon as it starts to idle, it gets bad. I lost about 300 rpms in drive and park/neutral. I took the clip off and cleaned it and stuck it back on and tried wiggling the wires some more, it's still doing it. No matter what I do with the wires and the clip its self, it's still idling horrible. It sounds like a loping V8 now... All the spark plug wires are good and tight so its not that, and so are my vacuum lines...
  10. Could you take a pic for us so we can actually see what you're talking about? I have a few ideas on what it could be
  11. I havent heard of KYB in a long, long time. Though if I remember correctly, they're pretty decent
  12. The issue has seemed to disappear...
  13. I know, no LSD It burns out awfully easy... are these things really that way, or is mine just retarded?
  14. I can't really tell any difference between the 2 pics? That sucks though! That's a good lookin bumper, at least you know it's tough
  15. Anyone done any burnouts with their Pathys? And got them on video? I've got 2 to share... Burnout 1 Burnout 2
  16. Holy hell, that's a serious decline in mileage
  17. I think the fan noise is just from being old and a little loose I know mine sometimes makes noise so if i hit the dash hard enough it shuts up As far as buying from the stealership goes...did you check online, parts stores, and junk yards first? The radiator cap holds 13lbs of pressure in the system to keep everything flowing properly. If its rusted or worn out, it doesn't do its job and the liquid doesn't flow properly. Of course, a bad radiator cap usually, not all the time, causes overheating. Also, what does your temp gauge read at? I'd do a coolant flush and replace the thermostat first for sure.
  18. Tires have very much to do with getting around in the snow, and weight distribution, which I hear the pathfinders are great for. My front tires are like slicks they're so bald, the thing would barely move an inch in the snow and ice. I see other vehicles with nice beefy tires crawl right around just fine. My heater is also the hottest of any vehicle I've been in, so hot that if you hold your hand to the vent on full hot, it'll almost burn.
  19. I doubt they didn't NOT notice, they probably just left it because they didn't want to deal with it.
  20. Does the housing look like the pic I posted? I thought the difference between engines was only with the injection units. All I had to do was what I posted above, with the addition of removing the idler pully for the AC compressor. (I left mine off since my AC doesn't work) and that was a matter of 5 extra min and a socket wrench. Overall it took me about an hour, mostly from fighting the stupid little hose attaching to the housing.
