  1. are you telling me that the snorkel is to the altenator? lol. any water in the cap will make the car not run let alone if it has crappy plug wires that wont be good either. it only takes a table spoon of water to bend a rod by the way.
  2. that jeep still wouldnt need a snorkel since the stock intake is above the water and also all the ignition system
  3. cheapest store brand oil 5w30 to 15w40 with the cheapest filter possible
  4. to me its about as useful as a sticker that says turbo, it may make it seem faster but quite useless
  5. i could see a snorkle helping your car not breathe in water but that doesent help the electrical part of the engine
  6. i keep seeing snorkels on cars around town and im starting to think its just for looks when half the h2 and h3 have them. i highly doubt that any one takes a h2 off road ever. whats the point of a snorkel thats mounted at roof level when the driver would be below water? also how would the ignition system work when its its wet?
  7. its not that important for the torque spec, i have been using a 3/8 impact gun and havent had a problem yet.
  8. if the cel is blinking it will hurt the cat more then the engine. as far as injector cleaner goes i have seen most of it do more dammage then good to the seals. check the wires to see if the insulation is cracking off
  9. are you sure it truly is gas smoke? did you have an exhaust analyzer tell you its rich? some times blow by looks the same
  10. grim greg i like that black hood on white car i think i will copy you now. also is that a stock bumper trimmed or custom fab?
  11. many people dont know this, but that piece is very important when trying to "mcgiver" a piece for smoking weed lol
  12. when i first bought my pathfinder i had some lights out, i slapped the top of the dash and the lights havent turned back off yet 2 years later
  13. well every one here always says "check codes" first part of trouble shooting... in most cases i would agree but these engines are so old that they only have about 15 codes and only tell you if you have a shorted or "implausable" signal from a sensor. the codes will not tell you if a sensor is intrrmittent or if it is not working properly. just my 2 cents.
  14. might sound dumb but fuel filter?
  15. was that the lifters i was hearing? i know on mine sometimes first start of the day it wont build oil pressure asap and the lifters are loud causing a missfire and uneven idle... makes sense if the valves arent opening to the full
  16. go with 15in, tires are cheaper and easier to find plus steelies are easy to spray paint lol
  17. not to post jack but my needles are bent too i wonder why?
  18. just make sure that the one you pick has the right sized pitman arm and sometime the taper for the ball joint is reversed from the 4x4 pathfinder
  19. sounds like the relay is stuck or the accumulator developed a leak and will not hold a 'charge' of pressure
  20. just sand it flat with a block sander and 800 and it will be fine, i do this every time i do a head gasket and never had a problem
  21. if you just take a die grinder and cut off the lower radiator supports and take the top radiator brakets and flip them upside down the radiator will fit perfectly with the 3 inch body lift. i was going to make some lower brackets but i never got around to it and its been fine for about 2 years now lol
  22. I'm so JDM I sleep on the right side of the bed

  23. can the aac valve be removed with out removing the upper intake manifold?
  24. so i let some one borrow my car for about 3 months and now that it has expired tags and a high idle at about 1700 - 1900 i need to get it to pass. i saw this http://forums.nicoclub.com/iacv-aac-cleaning-and-testing-tutorial-t251133.html on another forum and i was wondering if you can take it off the pathfinder intake with out removing the intake manifold it looks like a tight fit. also there is an IACV and IACV-aac i cant tell which is which and in the FSM EF&EC -14 it shows the ecm controlled one with no connector on it and the temp controlled one with a connector? just as a shot in the dark i tried to use some intake cleaner and had no luck...
