  1. I had one installed on either strut. My camber was fine for the entire duration and my tires wore pretty much perfectly.
  2. Boss! Nice Yota. And you still have your Pathy so I see no treachery at all.
  3. For the record, I think Keelhaul has the best winch set-up on a stock bumper. Looks badass, too.
  4. This. And this. And this. Looks more for show than anything functional. Or maybe winch transport at best...
  5. That's the whole point in having this forum. So Andrew, were you able to fit it up there?
  6. If you go OEM, this rust problem with keep coming back. Your best bet would be to go with something aftermarket (i.e., stainless steel) which is resistant to corrosion. Salt really does a number on these trucks. Living in the salt belt sucks...
  7. That tent on Northernpathy's rig is sick. Is that the ARB one?
  8. Just jokes... Welcome to the forum. Definitely check out 4x4parts.com for lift kits.
  9. And those gave you the lift to match the SFD, right? Are you just running stock coils up front?
  10. Igetstabby: Exhaust looks good! Did you do that yourself? Based on what I've read in this thread, I'm guessing the diameter would vary between the VG and VQ...? I'm curious because I'd like to do custom exhaust in the near future, and something that'll sound mean and provide some gains would be ideal.
  11. Calm down, Mr. Zanette!!! Well, OEM coils suck, that's a fact. The only option is lift coils... Or custom coils. WOT, contact Kevin coilsprings.com, he's done a few orders for members on here for SFD projects. He could probably design stock-height coils with a higher spring rate to keep your rear end from sagging/topping out.
  12. Rather than install new coils, why not just get a new set of bump stops...?
  13. Damn, that's tedious... I'm going to try and tackle this tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the help!
  14. I'm hoping to tint my reverse lights on the QX4 to match the tail lights (I tinted them this past week) but I have no idea how to remove them. I also was wondering if the bulbs are the same as those found in the Pathfinder. Sorry for sounding like an epic newb.
  15. Hey, I almost, almost bought a '03 S/C X... Not treachery, my friend. In terms of cost feasibility, the X definitely has the advantage. Lots of aftermarket support out there, too. Sad to see you part ways with the R50 but I couldn't care less because you got a X instead. $2K for your rig?! Uh, can you say deal? Someone, scoop up this R50!!! What he said. Nope, the D22 Xterra had either the naturally-aspirated 3.3L VG33E (same as the '96-'00 R50) or the supercharged VG33ER. The 3.5L VQ35DE was only offered in the '01-'04 R50 (in terms of Nissan's SUV/light truck category, that is).
  16. Potty piping! I agree with Adam on this, only because I lack the patience to fab certain things, a snorkel being one of them. I'd go with the D22 Safari snorkel, primarily because it's so versatile. Second, I've seen it on Dan's (vengeful) R50 and it looked downright awesome.
  17. Mike, your new X is sick. And the KMA bumper mounts up beautifully... Like it was meant to be. But I gotta ask: why did you move away from the R50? Your build was going seemingly well. Speaking of your R50, are you selling it as a whole? I was quite fond of your custom rear bumper...
  18. Looks awesome!!! Your rig's lookin' meaner and meaner every day! Regarding the whole pinch seam thing, as long as the frame rail support is sturdy, there shouldn't be any issue... Right?
  19. Here's the link for the pre-facelift R50: '96-'99 R50 Thanks for clearing up the coil question. I had no idea OME made different "sizes" of coils; I thought they were all ~1.75" lift coils. Definitely opens up more in terms of versatility, though.
  20. So the MD coils don't provide as much lift as they HD coils?
  21. I think what he means is the sway bar is there for a reason. It's difficult to have both on-road stability and off-road flexibility with IFS set-ups, and this is very much the case with the R50. With the front swaybar connected, I had no complaints off the pavement. Actually, I was happy with how it 'performed' on the trails. If only the front sway bar could be disconnected as easily as the rear...
