  1. When you adjust the rear brakes, the wheel must be on. It's usually best to do this both wheels up in the air. Not the safest but works best to make sure both sides are equal. Spin the wheel and adjust the brakes so that the wheel will make about one rotation with medium like force. Check adjustment with the e-brake as well. So that it comes on after the first few clicks. it shouldn't have to be reefed all the way to the top.
  2. Yeah I emailed that guy too. 200 bucks ain't too bad. If you know how to fab, you can probably make it work.
  3. hey...I just put all new tie rods and centerlink and it still does that. it's a poor design.
  4. Very interesting...my SE with I guess the Off Road Package has.... no roof rack, no fog lights, and no security. Have no leather but have heated drivers seat. I have everything else listed there except the lego's.
  5. If you are not really going to change much on the truck but want better than stock just go with Rancho 5000's
  6. What kind of stereo....is it the stock one. Could be the fader dial is buggered on the inside of the deck. With how cheap most decks are these days I would yank it out and toss it in the trash and get new one. But definitely check out the connections in the rear of it first. Find the wires that go to a non working speaker and connect to ones on the deck that you know work to see if it's the deck or speaker that is the problem.
  7. I think you would have to long arm the rear in order to keep the geometry somewhat decent. But, it's definitely doable.
  8. how do you check a "normal" auto tranny fluid level.
  9. I enjoy watching the show But seriously, we keep coming back because.... 1) We all want you to get back on the road...and 2) It's educational.... ... God, I hope you figure this out soon enough. Pull the fricken spark plug and find TDC....quit pissing around it's not that hard.
  10. Agreed that the hubs are a pain in the ass. But I managed to do both Lower BJ's in about 4 hours whereas it took almost a whole day to do the bushing in the UCA on JUST the driver side. Still got to do the pass side though....driver's was toast. I think my lower bushings are toast as well and am very reluctant to do it my self....looks like a MAJOR PIA. You got any pics of the work you are doin on the lowers?
  11. I thought the BJ's not too hard at all. I'd rather do them than control arm bushings.
  12. Jeep Grand Cherokee springs can be just "popped in". Minimal tools are needed. And all you need to cut them is a Hacksaw.
  13. I believe it has something to do with the Caster angle.
  14. Everything is in great shape.....wiring is all a-ok. Cool. Just want to make sure I'm not going to overload any circuits or anything. Already got the pulley off....fortunately I have a little compressor now so made that easy as pie. Any way to check the alty with a multimeter or anything like that......I'm kinda lazy right now, don't feel like going anywhere. I am willing to take it for granted that it is working...got it off a New Canadians' Maxima that he ran into a pole. The car is..err was in what seemed to be great shape. Looked pretty clean and taken care of under the hood. The guy's dad was telling me how they had been really fixing it up and then BOOM, hit's a pole. Anyways...so there....now you know.
  15. So it shouldn't mess up anything running more amps than stock.
  16. So, I found a great deal on a maxi alty from a 91. Got it for 20 dollars. That's Canadian. So it's probably like 9 US bucks....hehe. Couldn't pass it up. Just had to pull it myself. So, I was wondering....I know that these are used once there is add-ons to the electrical system, ie, lights, e-fan and such. Which I plan to do eventually. Would there be any problem using it before I do any of those mods? My Pathy is an SE with the power windows, mirrors, heated seats and mirrors and such. It seems like these options are already taxing on the electrical system as it is, like when you roll all the windows up or down at the same time. What do you alll think?
  17. How's the timing on it....think you might of slipped a few cogs on the TB maybe...dunno.....what about the O2 sensor or the MAF or something like that.
  18. How big is that hole supposed to be? Should it be a snug fit or is there supposed to be some room for movement?
  19. Dude did you happen to have any parts left over after you did the work on the truck. They might have been important..hehe. At least no one got hurt.
  20. Check the left first if it pulls right when braking...the right side is probably working properly and the left isn`t?
  21. when was the last time you had your calipers off and had them all cleaned up? The sliders get rusty and sh!t and could cause them to not work too good. my rears were like that...wouldn`t grab very good, had to clean up the slide pins and the shims and stuff, try to grease the slide pins to prevent them from rusting and siezing.
  22. Throw it on the rear so you don't feel it through the steering wheel so much.
