2 days ago i went to my dealer to find out if my pathy was affected. They said they knew nothing about a recall. I was shocked. So yesterday i showed them the recall info (i printed off all the info from the government site) and they ran my VIN and said i wasnt affected. Does anybody else find this fishy? lol. I called Nissan North America many times but waited on hold forever...so im just going to keep calling...

Thanks! yah I wasnt really looking for a BMW, but it was cheap, and had low miles for a '97 and i bought it from a friend, so i know it was taken care of. (for the most part!) Got a new gas cap for a EVAP leak code, then do an oil change soon, and replace a fog light, other than that its all good! -

Weird Noise And Vibration When In 4Wd
Phantom01Pathfinder replied to Thunderbolt's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
i think for the most part its just the extreme angle the CV is at. And under load, it vibrates like crazy. I noticed after my lift, in 4wd even at half throttle it vibrates pretty good. Now im not saying i dont have a bad motor mount, im sure i do, but the CV seems like a bigger culprit. I have a buddy who owned a '07 Ram Big Horn Edition and it was stock. Sat up pretty high for stock. If he put it in 4wd and put the hammer down (anywhere between 1/2 and full throttle), it felt like the front of the truck was going to fall off...Turns out it was the front CV's, when he hit the gas, the front of the truck would lift, changing the CV angle from 15degrees to approximately 30degrees (i think thats what he said). AT least something of this nature. And none of this would happen when he was in 2wd. just thought id mention that story... -

Yah pics will be coming... My friend and his aunt were heading up to Chicago from Indianapolis to pick up her new BMW...so they stopped by my work (in Gary) to let me test drive her old one. She knew i was interested in it. That straight 6 ran out pretty good. So i did the usual, thought about it for a little while and called her back and we discussed price. I will be picking up the car May 6th, cuz I am going down to Indy for a planned event, so ill be getting it then. -
What a year its been so far! Finally lifted my pathy, got wheels and tires, and now soon going to be picking up my new to me 1997 BMW 3 Series! Got 100k miles, its a 4 door, and silver! New tires, struts and radiator. Its not new by any means, but it was so sweet i couldnt pass it up. Ill be posting pics when i can! Let me know what you all think...

Rear window leaking...
Phantom01Pathfinder replied to Phantom01Pathfinder's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Ah yes that is what i meant to say... yah i dont want to seal it shut...or do I? haha Its funny cuz i think the window opening is so small i hardly ever just open the window...if i ever put anything in the cargo area, i just open the hatch because its usually bigger than the window opening... -

Rear window leaking...

oh so true -
Ok ive searched for this one and found nothing... Its been raining like crazy here for the past couple days and i believe my rear hatch window is leaking. If i open the hatch and lift it up, i can watch water drip down from the bottom of the seal around the window. I understand that opening the hatch reverses the direction of the water, but shouldnt the seal around the window stop the water from leaking in??? i do have a super nice Husky floor liner in the cargo area that catches all the water, but this is just getting annoying. Also, there is those 3 hard plastic quarter round shaped thingys at the top of the rear window...im missing two of them...I dont think that is causing my window to leak tho... Any thought? Thanks

The wheels i got are 16x8 and have 3.75 backspacing...waited 7 weeks for them because it is a "special order", at least that what i was told. And it was worth the wait!
