  1. do you have any rubbing with those tires? why did you go with 15in wheels?
  2. I called my local nissan dealer for my strut mounts (upper and lower), bearings, seats, and etc. It was cheaper for me to order that locally then to pay shipping from ordering online. Here is a link for part numbers http://www.nissanpartszone.com/components/2001-nissan-pathfinder_front-suspension-401-1287.html I ordered the following parts - 54329N, 54320, 54322, 54325, 54036, 54057, 54034. I ordered the rear shocks from summitracing.com P/N - 326506 (this number is ProComps factory part number) I sorta guessed on the proper length and thought 27in extended would work and it has so far, haha. And the remainder of my lift was from 4x4parts. KYB struts(for my model year 2001) and the lift coils hope this helps
  3. Thanks Pezzy I had a question about your wheel and tire combo. What are the specs on your wheels? I know they are 16's but 16x7 or 16x8? Whats the backspacing and is it hubcentric? Is it important to have a hubcentric wheel? I found info searching here, but it sounds like either way works? Did your 275/70/16 Bridgestones rub at all??? thanks in advance
  4. hey snow4me, i ordered my lift from 4x4parts.com. decided to go with the AC lift instead of OME. a few months ago i got new kyb gr2 struts and OEM bearings, mounts and hardware. i should have done it all at once, replaced struts, coils and shocks, but i piece-mealed it together. it took time but was worth the wait! now in the future im planning on wheels and tires, and way down the road maybe a new front bumper? oh and i got ProComp ES 3000 shocks, took some slight modifying to fit, but they are working good so far! yah my old suspension had 125k on it, so it was totally shot! lol
  5. kept the sway bar on...ill have to see how "hardcore" my wheeling will get, lol. My old taillights always had water/condensation in them...even after i took them off, dried them out, resealed them and put them back on. So i opted to take the more price effective route and get black euro's off ebay. Got them more then a year ago and i love them!
  6. Well after a long wait, my lift is finally complete. First pic is the day i got my Pathfinder, then the others are of the lift. I didnt get any pics of the front install because i opted for my mechanic to do it. All in all it turned out awesome!!! Thanks to 01silvapathy for answering all my countless questions!
  7. I personally got KYB's put on about 2k miles ago. I love them. Its like riding on a cloud. But now its going to be a little different cuz im getting the rest of my lift put on tomorrow. I even did light offroading with all my stock suspension and never had a problem with them. Do get OEM strut bearings, mounts, and hardware. Thats how i did it. For me, parts were $350, and labor was $200. So id think your looking somewhere in the vacinity or $550 - $600. hope that helps
  8. man that is definitely a sweet bumper!! hopefully in the near future i will get one of those got to finish my lift first, this tuesday i should get the rest of it installed! are you just mounting lights on it or a winch too??
  9. Welcome to the forum!!! this place has a wealth of knowledgeable people and im sure others will chime in, but ill help you with what i know. i know that sometimes when you throw a code and replace a part it takes a certain number of cycles of the key in the ignition to reset the pcm or ecu(i dont know the technical name for it). i had a similar problem with mine 3 yrs ago and i replaced an o2 sensor, then a couple hundred miles later it threw a code for a mass air flow sensor. so sometimes one issue leads to another... What gaskets got replaced? yes you should be able to tell if the cat is still good just by looking at it.
  10. I as well run silverstar ultra's in the headlights. As for the fogs i run Hella's, and they do a great job too. this is my first vehicle with foglights, and ill never get another vehicle without them.
  11. knowing that makes me want to cut them out and have the muffler shop weld in a straight pipe...but i still gotta get my lift on. haha
  12. are you sure those are factory resonators and not cats? where did you get this info from? i know that i got a heat shield that is rattling right below the drivers seat that is falling off what i thought is the secondary cats. gotta put a hose clamp on it to fix it but thats it. anybody else know about this?
  13. esy, thanks for posting the link to the pinned topics, but that is the first area i covered. I have found no info on shocks, as far as specifics. Like 01silvapathy said, its important to know so that you know how much travel you will get. this is good to know when extreme flexing happens.
  14. Ok so this question is for anybody who has or had a 2" AC lift, what type of shock did you run? Right now i got crappy monroe's that measure 19" so i am left with about 1" of shock travel. Just going down the flat road should i hit a bump, the shock will top out causing a clunk from the rear. I interested in what shock brand, length is compressed, extended, and the length of the exposed shaft sitting level is? Thanks.
  15. hey how did you like it when you first put the 2" AC lift? and what was the max tire size you got without rubbing? I am really torn between the AC lift and the OME HD coils. ANd i am going to get 16x8 wheels with -3.75BS and new tires soon. whats your thoughts?

    Thanks

  16. do you guys only have this problem when its cold out??? because mine sometimes wouldnt engage because of the extreme cold (-10F). itd have to run for a short time before engaging. How fast are you driving when engaging and disengaging 4wd?
  17. nope my temp gauge reads normally. sometimes mine acts funny when its got up to temp, i parked it for short while (25min) then go to fire it back up. It cranks real hard and eventually starts, it sounds like its choking to get started though. well i dont want thread jack you so hopefully someone else can help. did it only start hard on that first start after sitting all summer???
  18. hey i see that your new to the site? how do you like it? what do you have done to your pathfinder? i also have an 01 Black LE.

  19. there is a ton of posts on this. search the Pinned topics for R50's and you'll find a bunch of lift options. OME and AC are the 2 most common. but i believe those are 2" lifts. Maybe spacers to get more lift...
  20. hows the new (to you) qx4?

  21. hey howie,

Where abouts in evansville are you from?

  22. hey where abouts in Indiana are you from?

  23. check out this site....www.courtesyparts.com its all factory nissan parts. search under pathfinder on the left side column for the year you have and from there you can select anything from suspension, to air filters and differentials. pretty much anything. hope this helps. word of warning, everything is very year specific, so watch out for that.
  24. There are many threads on here about front struts and pieces involved. Just do some searching and you'll find 'em. I had someone else do my work, i'll never replace struts and springs on any vehicle. There are too many horror stories ive heard about spring compressors failing and the spring shoots out like a bullet. but from what ive heard its a couple bolts, compress the spring, install the strut and then your pretty much done. im sure others will chime in and have alot more specific details.
