  1. yeah, dizzy off or your timing belt is off by a tooth or a couple.
  2. i think his id crisis is turning into slick's fan club now..
  3. it doesn't stick.. you just press it once and you're good for one try at the ignition.
  4. lol.. that would mean you'd actually have to open it and search and that's a dreaded word around here.. and yeah, you just press the button (no need to hold) and then attempt to start.. you will have to press then button again though if you didn't start the previous try.. i did once experience where i had to keep pressing that button but i don't remember why now.. maybe hand and foot brakes were applied? maybe something else too..
  5. no, you can be in gear but you'll move.
  6. your chances of picking up a bad amp from the j/y are quite high too.. so just be ware..
  7. on way long trips it will get hot but if you think it's not normal at least check the fluids.. and wait for other ideas as that's all i have.
  8. before you monkey with the pump pu in new plugs and try starting again. i had this same issue once.. i exchanged for new plugs and it fired right away. you didn't say but i am guessing you do have the spark, right?
  9. because i have had to deal with that before i still reset the trip meter every fill up.
  10. wet plugs, clogged fuel filter.. if it's flooded you'd smell the gas under the hood bad.. open the ait filter and let it air out. starting fluid? not too much though,
  11. sure did at one point in my 94..
  12. either that or topsider and the like.
  13. is the thermostat in the correct way? could still be blocked cat. are you getting fuel to the rail when hot? bicycle style valve should be located somewhere there... if you press it and fuel shoots out then you have pressure and for now that's all we need. the timing makes me wander what the heck it is though.. when was the t-belt done last? might have jumped a tooth or two.. also the Crank positioning sensor would be worth looking at. check all you groundings.. especially the main ones by the battery. maf-clean and jiggle wires..
  14. wire it up like B said. take 5 minutes and you still have the shield on there to help spread the heat out.. all of mine are wired now and once in a while you'll have to cut another length of wire and retie it.. i normally double up the wire too. good luck
  15. or just wait for red88 to show up and give you the official skinny.
  16. yeah if the passenger side cam is off then you'd get what you're describing.. possibly.. search the forums or PM slick she remembers the number of teeth between each sproket.
  17. yup. mine did that too. rebuild time. make sure you add an external tranny cooler and bypass the stock one.. lot's of threads about this in the garage and year specific forums.
  18. when/how did this start? milage and year?
  19. yeah me too, never a problem.
  20. the t belt and such shouldn't move.. the puller jaws should be pulling on the pulley and the center bolt pressing against the crank.
  21. yeah, i think it's ugly too, front is ok but the rest.. they have them around the malls here which shows you exactly who they are thinking of..
  22. seems to be the same. i get best milage 40-50mph regardless what accessories are on/off.
