i doubt that it would make the glass rattle when closed... something is up with the latch or hinges maybe??? auto zone and such have them... can't remember but around $20 ea. and they are stronger then stock.. the latch pops up by itself when i release it... almost the same thing with the whole gate.. they are great!

well, if it fires with starting fluid but won't otherwise, then you're not getting gas for some reason. could be injectors or one of the sensors but most of the time you'd get a code in the ECU... clogged fuel line... it's kind of hard to nail this through the keyboard...
-
calipers may look fine but not work... i am guessing you put in new bearings when you changed your rotor, right? squeling could be almost anything still breaks are one of the most important components of your tk... i wouldn't..why skimp on being alive?... i've always done both sides at the same time... but you gotta do what you gotta do... i know what it is to live on v. little...

you sure the fuel pump is actually pumping? i know nothing about crank angle sensor... but 88 and others do.. might want to search the forums.. it has been talked about before...
-
yeh. i got mine for around $40... the factory plug too... haven't done it yet but next few days most likely... i have to take the x-member off cause the darn thing is not coming out any other way.... i burnt (melted) it a while ago and that doesn't seem to negatively at all... sans the dash light... i live at only 800ft above sea level though...

any ECU codes? (sticky in this forum)

that's why i am considering puting a locker on the front first... this is my thinking too. I do most of my wheeling crawling over rocky obstacles or on slippery steep trails in the middle of the woods, so slow slow slow is the name of my approach. I know a couple of local guys here (Maine USA) who lock just the front. but I have heard of problems steering on snow covered roads when in 4wd. I think to lock the front diff you need to rep[lace the auto lock hubs with manuals. yeh, not really thrilled about it's automation... kind of would like to have more control... i hear of terrible consequences when that thing locks on the highway...

yeh, i try to change it before i have a problem... brakes are no joke... my fluid in the pathy and the s10 was brown not tan/clear... dirt, maybe hose crap... i don't know but it sure was dirte....

well, maybe some electical connector or something is loose..
-
that depends man. if the fluid is dirty it needs a flush pronto.
-
check under the truck. maybe you knocked something out of place off-roading... aftermarket tranny cooler is a must sounds like it maybe getting hot... check fluid.... high rmps suggests low gear.... check the button on the shifter... for normal driving it needs to be off... also search in the garage and general forums for tranny related topics... many discussions have gone on....
-
not familiar with your model but ABS could be a bit tricky.. otherwise i'd just drain the old fluid completely out of the system and then refill with new fluid... of course you'll have to burp the system and may even have to prime the master cylinder... i don't really see more then a couple of hours of work... you may want to read up on that in shop manual and get a helper before starting... good luck man...

please, no littering!!!!

lol. me too... i've been thinking about doing that... need some ideas though...

sure 10th ain't bad but it is when you're rusty... he ran ok but not like in the past... as to grodon.. it's not my idea... he moved here and started racing here.. went to Highschool here and considers his home town to be Pittsboro IN...
-
Rusty wasn't really competetive and i also like #20.. 24 and 20 and 12 and 14 are all home (state) boys... who cares what they drive... there are no nissans in there....
-
ok not today.. but at least it was 24.. hahahaha
-
you mean First on race day? daytona is on so we shall see... hehehehe
-
Mercedes does it.. but i can't recall in what deniminations.. i know 1/4 mil miles and 1/2 for sure but i don't know if 100k is even really anything in one of those cars either....
-
i recommend you lurk around the general, garage and this forums... all you questions have been answered numerous times... under the passenger's seat is the ECU. whole tranny cooler write ups in the garage.. same with stereo not many Pathfinder upgrade dealers... just a few and and if you search hard enought here you can also find that info ...
-
lol. it's pretty usual for a pathy to make well beyond 100k... i am not so sure about the vulva.. i am shooting for over 1/4 mil miles myself... almost halfway there...
-
if the tranny was rebuilt the aftermarket cooler might have been installed then... look around... the stock cooler is part of the radiator and it sucks and definately need the aftermarket one... search around this forum (garage parhaps) there is plenty on this topic that should answer all your questions... good luck
