SUCCESS!!!! i finally fixed my path. picked up the bolts from the dealer yesterday and put everything back together. i really missed driving my path. i could go and play now. i was able get a 10 gauge bolt from the dealer. the only website i was able to fine the UCA bolt was at bolt depot. i want to thank you guys for helping me out. i know i could count on everyone here. my knowledge on repairing trucks, such as this issue, my lockrite locker, i didn't have, now i do which hopefully i'll be able to pass on to other people. thanks guy!!

you're right, the majority of the creaking, squeaking, cracking, popping noise was comming from the steer stops, besides that, he has a very minor squeak from the UCA but was fixed by greasing it up.

hey, guys, a buddy of mine has a 03 frontier 4x2. the front suspension is totally similar to ours. well, he has problem. when he has his making a turn, he gets this nasty cracking, squeking sounds comming from the i believe a arms. i know, ours do that too, but it's not the same, sounds more nastier. any ideas?

hey guys, while my path is still in the driveway, my neighbors driveway to be exact, all part because of the UCA bolt that i broke, i decided to take the front sway bar off. i can't drive it yet because the new bolts haven't arrived yet from the dealer. is it safe w/out the front sway bar? i know it's fine for the rear. i left put my rear sway back on, i freaked out after what happened when i disconnected the rear sway. just thought i asked. oh yeah, anyone else have the front sway removed?

success!!! my buddy and i took out the broken piece out. finally. first i torched it with a propane torch gun(thank you maritime) that probably helped alot, then we pounded in with one of those heavy duty 1foot flat screwdrive and used a wrench to screw it out. came out no problem. the only trouble i'm having is trying to find the bolt. i went to pepboys, mom and pop auto parts stores, home depot, osh. osh had some but their metric didn't match mine. any ideas where i can find it, or if there is a website anyone knows of. other than that, mudfinder is almost ready to play.

what's going on everyone. well couple weeks ago, i noticed a loud clunking feeling around the front passenger side wheel area everytime i stopped or turned or accelerated. upon inspection, i notice one of the bolts holding the UCA is loose. so i start to tighten her up, didn't seem to want to tighten, so i decided to take it out completely and reinsert it. when i took the bolt out, half of it was still inside the frame. now, how does anyone break that bolt? could it be by putting pressure on the wheel while trying to climb or what? anyway, i finally drilled a hole through that bolt to extract it with a reverse thread. so far, no luck, i think it's frozen in there or something. i've tried vise grips, regular pilers, drills, from regular to heavy duty power drills. any ideas on what kinda tool i can use? a friend of mine was suggesting me to use a sawzal and cut it out piece by piece, then chizeling it out. any ideas?? thanx! another thing. what kinda bolt can i use to replace it? as in what grade? the sales guy at the hardware store said that i don't want the ones from them, that is too soft.

i got my lock-rite from there. service(shipping) was pretty good. received the product fairly quick. product was excellent. they're pretty good, some parts are pretty cheap. a buddy of mine orders parts for his samurai all the time.

looking good man. the black wheels go real well with the color of your truck. now you need to tint the windows and lift it. oh yeah, and get it dirty, it's too clean oh yeah, another thing, airrun, remove the center caps from the rear tire see how it looks without them. i think it's too much chrome, might look better.
-
yeah i feel you, i know how it feels. i remember when some SOB broke into my path. a$$holes cut my horn wires, so the alarm wouldn't go off, didn't have an alarm at the time, but yeah, they took my huskey tool set, my back pack, school books, stereo, cd's. that sucks that they cut all those other wires. i bet you'd love to find out who did it. that sob would get TSL tread marks all over his face. pssd

i'm 20 1/2 and i do stupid things. i don't do things that would hurt anyone in anyway. those knuckleheads will get their pay back when their much older when their kids do the same to them. what goes around what comes around...or is it the other way, what comes around what goes around. i think it's the first.

you can get a titan king cab well below 28000. and probably under 26000 if you get it used. it would either be the XE or SE. i wanted to get the CrewCab LE with the navi. but couldn't really afford 40,000. so i got the full loaded SE crewcab and am real happy with it. i like the material in the titan. it's kinda like a wetsuit feel to it. real warm when it's real cold out. i like the frontier it's a compact truck with BALLS.

here i was stuck for nine hours. very very long day. my buddy's samuari wasn't heavy or strong enough to pull me out. we found this guy that had a 78 ford f250 with 38's, locked front and rear. started tugging like krazy, my path wouldn't budge. while tugging on me, he snapped his driver side front axle hub. so he got stuck. he had a friend that had a pto wench. him and my buddy went to get this guy, that wench just yanked my right out. very screwed up day. these pictures here are when i just got stuck. notice the exhuast pipe above the mud here is about 2 hours after i got stuck. the rear passenger side tire was completely submerged along with the exhuast pipe. since i don't have 4wd, people helping said that it wouldn't make a differnce if i had 4wd that i'd still get stuck.

i have sway-a-way t-bars on mine and their holding pretty well. can't complain about it.

i haven't taken my titan 4wheeling yet and am not planning on to. yes i agree about not seeing too many titan out there on the trails. i've seen some pretty bad a$$ titans. lifted, just rigged up. there even is this titan that has a SAS on it. it's pretty bad. i'd take the frontier 4wheeling before taking the titan. here's the link to the SAS'd titan.SAS Titan

oh yeah, i forgot to mention this, but this guy in a titan forum was saying how comfortable the seats in the titan are. i fully agree, however he was saying that when he test drove the new 2005 frontier while his titan was getting serviced, the seats on the froniter were so much more nicer, much more comfortable. he was also saying how much power that thing had. 4.0 v-6. i believe it's the strongest pick-up in its class.
-
get a titan man...you'll be very happy. little bigger than the frontier and more ball$. but if smaller is what you want, i'd get the frontier. frontier is much more nicer looking than the tacoma. the tacoma in my opinion is a huge frog. the chevy, don't even bother. i picked my titan over a ram and am very happy i did. get the frontier. oh yeah, i don't know if there are much posts in this forum but go and check out what other frontier owners have to say. www.clubfrontier.org

i have 33x12.50x15 on 15x7s. I have them one for about a year now. i've done everything from everyday driving with them to 4wheeling down to 10-15psi with never a problem. when i was getting the lift with the tires, this guy at one shop who didn't specialize in offroad products told me that the tire could bubble and this and that. The offroad shop that i had them do the lift said that it would be better to mount the 12.50 tire on a 7wheel because that way you have the sidewall out side the rim. won't scratch/damage the rim and would grab better. he seemed to be right. i'd mount it on the 8inch before the 10. would look much better on the 8. the 10inch, IMO, would already be for those insane sized tires. plus, i don't recall seeing anyone here or anywhere else with 33-12.50 on a 10 inch wheel.
