  3. do you guys know if all the tranny mounts are the same as 4wd and 2wd? also, i found a tranny and tcase on ebay, think it's worth getting? the tranny is $825 and tcase $100.
  4. oh another thing, is there anyway that i can make the tranny like HD or get one that HD? or think the tranny cooler would do good? dont' have one yet.
  5. hey, thanx 88. the cross member that comes right in front of the cross member that holds the tbars (on 4wd, the tcase is right in the middle of the two), is that the same as mine or do i need to change mine? i checked out mine and i have that cross member too. i have the hyanes books and it looks just a tad different on the 4wd. so from what i see here, i may need a new cross member, tranny, tcase. also in the book, there is what looks like to be a skid plate? it located right under where the tranny starts from the engine. the engine oil pan is right in front of it. it has two holes and three boths right under the front diff and drive shaft.

    you can extraced it. when i extraced the bolt from my path, i torched it first, that seemed to work.
  7. what do you mean by offset? but yeah, if you can take a pic, that's if it's not a problem that would be real cool. thanks a lot. i found some 4wd trannys and tcase on ebay. the tranny is $895 and tcase $99. think it's worth getting or get one from the junk yard?. when i rebuilt mine it cost $1400!!. if i would of known then, it would of been cheaper to get the 4wd.
  8. does anyone have a picture of the undercarriage of a path? do i need brackets of any kinda? cross members? anything else besides the tranny/tcase? or will it just sit in there? drive shaft, i'll be needing a new one right? how easy is it to remove and install?
  9. my tranny is going out on me again. i guess i beat it up too much anyway, instead of rebuilding it, (i have already had it rebuild about a year or two ago) i want to get a 4wd tranny. can i slap it on with out the tcase until i get one or do i need a tcase? as everyone knows, i'm 2wd. i want to make it 4x4, i dont' want to get another 2wd tranny because i'm going to making mine 4wd with a solid diff, i don't want to spend that xtra money on buying a 2wd tranny and then taking it out for a 4wd. so again my question is can i just leave the 4wd tranny with out the tcase and front end until i do so? or do i need all that too? or tcase w/ out front end.
  10. the bar holds up real good. doesn't ratter or anything. works real good up against bushes and shurbs and shopping carts.

  12. well, i went wheeling today. very very disapointed. pathy performed very poorly. i think my tranny is going. anyway, i still had a good time. i got airborn (i'll post pics up later) and totaly trashed my fenders. i think it looks cool, chicks dig body damage. anyway, when i post the pics up, they'll speak for themselves.

  14. what's the point of that? if he wants better gas milage he should get a toyota prius or something. the thing that bugs me is that when people buy cars that they know is going to burn alot of gas, the complain after. he should give me his path so i can use his drive train. speaking of gas mileage my nissan titan, is getting better on gas mileage, i got 9mpg last tank. i love that thing... oh yeah, what moron would drive around with "GASPIG" written all over his truck? what a POS. he's giving away stickers huh? i'll use them to wipe my butt. so i'll save some trees and not waste TP.
  15. when you said, "hose everything down w/ WD-40" what exactly am i hosing down? and rotor? i know you're not talking about the breaks and rotors. what rotors?
  16. rpm wise, 1500 to 2500 from 2500 to 1500, just up and down when i'm gasing it. while in the process i get no wheel spin. aftermarket tranny cooler, don't have one. and when i put it in reverse and floor it, the wheels just sit there and spin like krazy. i changed my throttle position sensor just about a year ago.
  17. i paid about $17,000 for mine about fourteen years ago. oh yeah, your's is still new a 99, sale it ang get a 4by, not worth. i'll be doing a converseion on mine though. mines a 91 and i love her and wouldn't trade it for a 8x8
  18. i went wheeling today and couldn't climb anything. i mean nothing. when i would try to climb something. the engine would really hesitate. the rpm would go up down up down. i literally didn't have any power to my rear wheels when climbing. when i'm fully stopped, and punch it, it would hesitate bog down, rpm goes up and down. when i punch it in any other gear besides first, she takes off no prob. any possiblitiy my tranny is going out again? well, atleast first gear not being good?
  19. my path runs like once a week. sitting in my drive collecting bird isht and dust. that's alright, i guess. she'll last longer like that, not the paint though.

  21. when i saw 40's i said the same thing, 40's look much bigger. the only 40's i've seen personnally haev been mounted on 15's 16's, snice this is 22's i'll take their word for it. here's the link. 40x22
