Any updates on the bumper?
-
All installed, I have to re-index the t-bars as well, front sits a bit low.
-
They kinda worked on carbs (better venturi effect?) but not so much on throttle bodies. IIRC
-
My ABS light was on and all it was, was a stuck float in the reservoir.
-
I had a terrible grinding/whining noise after doing my w/p, t/stat, t/belt, etc. Turned out it was the idler pulley, replaced that and all is well. At least as far as that noise goes

I wonder-Would a 300ZX TT motor fit in my '95 SE?
silver97ex replied to Camera1's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I don't think the vg30dett will bolt up to the vg30e transmission, unless you made some sort of adapter plate. Someone correct me if I'm wrong because it would be cool if it could be done fairly easily. -
Yep, the pit comes with me quite often.

Neither of them have zerk fittings? Or just the new ones? If they don't have them I would assume they are already pre-lubed? With the zerk fittings, you need a grease gun.

Doing this in my dad's heated two car garage was great but my dremel is at my house so I had to go the old fashioned route and hack saw it off.

I know, i always screw my cap on a few clicks. It may have triggered some other sensor, not sure which one it could have been. Plus it went off when I filled up. ??? I haven't been that low since then so I don't know if it was a fluke or what.

Yeah, I am replacing the upper ball joints while I'm there. I got the drivers side out but the passenger side doesn't want to move. Again, thanks. You guys are WAY more helpful than Calmini's tech line.
-
I am pretty sure they have a 21 gallon tank as well. I was wondering the same thing a few months back so I decided to keep driving. No gas light but my check engine light came on, I was a lil over 300 miles on the tank. If I remember correctly it took a smidge over 20 gallons. As soon as I filled her up, the cel went off. Maybe that is the gas light?

Thanks, I got those sleeves of with a little persuasion from a torch and a hammer. The new Calmini ones slide right on, doesn't look like I will need a press. woohoo!! The washers did get a lil mangled but not terrible. Time to put this side back together and tackle the other side. The BJ nut on the passenger side doesn't want to move and there isn't enough room for an impact in there FYI, Calmini's instructions aren't very good.
-
Thats great, I don't have a press. Does that washer come off with it too?
-
I am having a hell of a time installing Calmini's 3 inch lift on my 95 Pathfinder. The rear went fairly smooth, minus the fact that I dont have a clue where the "rear brake flat stand-off bracket" goes. My main issues are with the ucs shaft bushings. I removed the uca, burned out the old bushings, no biggie. Upon trying to install the uca shaft into the Calmini uca, the sleeves that came with the kit don't slide onto the stock shaft. The stock shaft seems to have a sleeve already on it and that sure as crap doesn't want to come off. (unless I am being dumb) What's the deal?
-
Do the upper ball joints have to be pressed in? A quick reply would be greatly appreciated as it is already apart.
-
Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I have the kit and the plan is to install it tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone that has installed it has any pointers for me. Tricks to make it easier? Things to look out for? TIA
-
Mine also does the same thing.
-
I already voted but I just recently turned 200K two weeks ago.

Do you have any more picturea of it redpath?
-
does a 92 have a check engine light?
silver97ex replied to Channel595's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
My check engine light comes on when I get really low on gas -
Update on 4.3 vortec swap

Great project, keep it coming. -
Well, I had the w'pump, tensioner, t-stat, and all hoses replaced at the same time. Then my t-stat was sticking open so I replaced that myself and didn't use the correct/enough of the liquid gasket so it wanted to leak. So yesterday I pulled it all apart again to fix the leak. The drivers side drain plug didn't want to move, I got the passenger side out so I just drained that....and made a decent sized mess but its all good. So far, no leaks
-
All the hoses are recently replaced so I will use the drain plugs. I'm off to do it right now.
-
That looks great. I think I am going to do mine when it warms up a bit.
