  1. Let us know how it all comes together. I want to know how those Calmini UCAs fit and what the istallation is like. I am saving up to put there 3" lift on mine. It looks like there parts are HEAVY DUTY!!! and worth the money!
  2. Man I like that! :cool2: Is there anywhere else you can get one. I have only seen them on the AC website. Can you get one cheaper? I sure would like one myself.
  3. Big Mike don't feel bad I use the same Fram filter and the same Castrol oil. I always thought the Fram filter was a good one :o Nice write up! I was going to ask the same question-what can you do to keep oil from pouring all over the starter every time?
  4. Yea, mine has the tire carrier, step bars, 31" tires, cruise control, the orange LSD sticker on the rear diff. It even came with the switch and all the wiring, but doesn't have the cutout spots beside the turn signals or the fog lights.
  5. Look through these pics. I was looking at one of those myself until I can save for a bigger brush guard. Prerunner Bars
  6. Canucklehead, Is that dog pointing in the picture? That's a nice pup and I sure like to see them lock up like that! You can get a bird dog to swim. My dad has an English Setter pup and they hate the water, but he takes him with us when my brother and I take our labs to the lake. He takes a silly or something he likes to retrieve and starts by throwing it just a few feet in the water. He only has to go where he can still touch the bottom. Then he puts it deeper and deeper until he has to swim. He goes in and swims, but he sucks at it. Occaisionally we have to go in after him. It helps if its on a hot day and they want to cool off. I have heard that the GSP's are the some of the best swimming bird dogs. Where do you live? I didn't see it on your profile.
  7. I wasn't sure myself, but I didn't feel too bad about paying for all that! He works out of a garage behind his house. He has done me right so far. I got the timing belt changed and a new water pump put on a couple months ago by him for $150. I wouldn't do it myself for that.
  8. That looks sweet! Did you use ball joint spacers in the front, or what type of control arms did you use? I have got to do that to mine! How long did it take you from start to finish? Too many questions :X
  9. I feel your pain. pssd I just had mine replaced with a rebuilt starter last week! I didn't have time to fool with it myself, but I have a mechanic that does work for a fair price and shows you what he replaced. It cost me $200 total. That included having it towed in on a rollback, the starter and labor. The rebuilt starter itself cost $95
  10. That's nice! But why not paint it white too for add effect
  11. She loves the water! We live about a mile from the lake so I try to let her swim once or twice a week. She would go all day if I would let her.
  12. Welcome! Don't worry about all the questions. We all have a lot
  13. I changed the transmission and transfer case fluid in mine last weekend. I thought I would go ahead and change the differentials too. I couldn't get the fill plugs off, so I didn't drain them. Make sure you get those out first. I would hate to drain first and then find out you couldn't open the fill plugs
  14. I would like to lift mine and have read all the posts on it, but everything I have learned on this site is much easier to do after you see it. Show us some pictures when your done. Better yet do a step-by-step on the job sly
  15. Thanks for the info. I got the shift lock taken care of I just glued the plastic lockup as far up the cable as possible and fixed that. Then this weekend I changed the transmission fluid and transfer case fluid. It was running great Saturday and Sunday. Sunday afternoon it sounded like it was starting pretty sluggish so I took the battery cables off and cleaned the terminals and the cables. When I connected them back it would not start. By then it was about 9:00 at night I pretty much figured by then when the lights still worked and everything electrical worked that my starter was gone. I didn't have time to fix it so I had it towed to a mechanic and picked it up today $200 later she's back on the road
  16. What year model Pathfinder do you have? I put my new post on this morning before I read yours. We may be having the same problem.
  17. I have had a problem twice this week with the shift lock on my automatic transmission. Those times I could work with the shifter for a few minutes and it would start. This morning it did it again and it would not start. I could not get the shift lock to disengage. I tried to get out and rock it to get it to release, but no luck. If I turn the key on I can move the shifter thru the gears, but when you put it in park to start it, it still won't start. The hayes book says there is an actuator or plug on the 95 model, but I can't understand how to fix it Has anybody else had this problem or know about it? Is there any way to bypass the shift lock? :help:
  18. Welcome aboard! Its nice to see another fellow Tennessean here.
  19. It looks pretty simple. Is there any other place to install it besides in front of the radiator, so you don't have to take it out?
  20. This looks like a good deal. I have not given this much thought myself and have never installed one of these. Is it hard to do and where are you going to put it? Do you have to make any major mods to put it in ?
  21. I'm looking at buying the ARW Atlas wheels for my 95 SE like the ones on your pathy. Right now it is not lifted any. I have 31x10.50 tires on the stock rims. If I put the same tires on the Atlas 15x8's will they fit and turn in the wheel wells or should I get the 15x7's? I plan on putting a 3" suspension lift on later but I want the new wheels now. Can I get them to fit if I crank my torsion bars some?
  22. Hats off to Jim and the moderators! I am new to the site and in the past month have learned a lot from you guys. I don't see the need to curse here. It is nice to be able to enjoy the site and know that I can read it at work or home and don't have to worry about somebody seeing all types of curse words on the screen. Keep up the good work!

    LSD Oil?

I don't know when the differential fluid has been changed on my 95 se so I'm going to do it myself. I searched the forum and got some good info. I looked at mine and it has the orange LSD sticker. I looked at the owners manual and found the right weight. I want to know what brand do any of you like to use and do I use the same oil in the front and rear diff?
  24. I emailed him to last Friday and have not heard back yet. I would go pick up one myself for that deal, but it does sound too good to be true. sssh
