I got my 3" lift in the mail yesterday and took everything out of the box. It came with the bag of bushings for the control arms, but the directions don't say how they go on them. Anybody with these control arms can you help me out, maybe even a picture would help. This kit is awesome. These parts are beefy, but the directions are pretty vague. I think they left out 2 shock boots, are there supposed to be 4 in the kit?

I just bought some new wheels myself and I was considering those. They are nice but I couldn't justify the expense. Those wheels and tires look like a sweet combo, we need some pictures when your done!

I ordered the 3" lift kit for my 95. I talked to CALMINI yesterday and it is supposed to be delivered today! -bounce- I will be installing it this weekend. I am interested to see how their shocks and torsion bars ride. This is the most mechanical work I have done on my pathy at any one time so we'll see how it goes. I'll post up my experience when I'm done.

That's why I was checking on them. The local tire shop said they would sell me the tires and mounting and balancing for $89.00 I want some mud terrains and was going to go with BFG's, but since i just bought the CALMINI 3" lift and new wheels I think I'll go with these tires for now. Killvox, how are those tires wearing and how loud are they on the road?

Big Mike that power wagon rocks! Those are sweet. I don't know if you guys watch the Trucks show on Spike TV. They are rebuilding a Power Wagon with military axles and like 44" tires. Should be cool when its done.

Repack, can you send me those pictures on how to get rid of the factory amp. It's easier for me to do that kind of stuff if I can see what it should look like.

abomb1's 2001 Pathfinder I think chrome rims look good on an offroad rig. Check these out they have Goodyear MTR's mounted on them.

I would agree with Mr. Pickles and get another Pathfinder to swap parts to, but If I was going for something different I would get a used Xterra. I guarantee you could get one of those cheaper than a used 4Runner with the same miles. Toyota owners are proud of their 4Runners, used prices are rediculus! If I was going new I would wait for one of these to come out. New FJ40

I've got a question about that banging for you guys with manual hubs. I was doing some wheeling this past weekend up a real tight trail. I had the 4 wheel drive engaged going forward then I had to back up to turn around. I had to back up a hill to get it turned around. When I had to give it some real gas to back up the hill I had the loud bang. I got out to check because I thought I broke something, but couldn't find anything. I know the hubs were engaged going forward. So with the manual hubs you don't get any more of that banging back and forth? I was planning on manual hubs anyway, but I am for sure now! -bounce-

Mr. Pickles I know you have had you BFG MT's for awhile. Do you like them? How do they handle in the rain and how are they for road noise? I think I may go with a set of them for my next tires. I can't decide on 31's or 32's with a 3" suspension lift. I know you 31's look good with the JGC springs and lift.

Over on another board I asked if anybody had used them and they said the ride was comparable to the Rancho 5000's. I think they are giving them to you at $50 because its just a break for buying the whole kit. They are selling the shocks separately for $37 each. I don't know if they are made by the same company, but I think the ride is comparable. Can you fit 32's with 15x8 wheels with no trimming and the flares and mudflaps still on with a 3" suspension lift, or would you be better off with 31's and the 15x8 wheels and the flares?

I'm looking at doing the full Calmini 3" lift too. I have researched it and the shocks that come with the kit are basically the same as Rancho 5000's and if you add up the price of the UCA's and the springs and torsion bars your paying about $50 for all 4 shocks. I thought with just the 3" suspension lift you couldn't fit 33's. I was going to go with 15x8 wheels and 32x11.50 tires. Good luck on the mods and I want to see pictures. I hope to get mine done this summer :cool2:

Mine have sagged some. I cranked them some to raise it maybe 1/2" now. They are the original ones that came on it. I can tell by the ride that the shocks and the t-bars are worn out. I didn't know if by the time I crank them enough to get 3" lift I won't be able to stand the ride. Has anybody tried it, and has anybody know anything about the CALMINI shocks?

I'm going to get the CALMIMI springs and control arms this spring to do the 3" lift. If I keep the stock t-bars can I get the 3" of lift in the front? I can't decide on buying the springs and control arms separate with bilstein shocks, or just buy the CALMINI 3" kit with the springs, control arms, new t-bars and the CALMINI shocks. It equals out to about the same price. Does anyone have an opinion? Which would give a better ride?

Mine does the same thing. Sometimes it even relocks the doors when I unlock them. I just hid a key under the truck just in case I lock myself out. I'd like to see some pics from anybody that has fixed this. I don't know what switch you are talking about that you replaced, and how much would one cost if you bought one from the stealer?

MaritimeMan I'd like to see pictures of how you mounted the filter. If I read it right did you mount it in the engine bay near the fuel filter? I would like to do the filter relocation, but I can't find a good place to put it. Most people say to put it in the front of the wheel well, but I don't like the idea of getting rocks and mud thrown on the oil filter. Your location sounds pretty good. Is it going to be easy to change the filter and will you be able to keep oil from going all over the starter and frame?

I just put a new set of NGK V-Power plugs in and they run good, but anything is better than what I had. I don't think the plugs had ever been changed, and I have 139,000 miles now. I am going to get the NGK wires too. This is the cheapest I have found them. NGK Plug Wires

I am all for the front design of Mark's and the last back design by DSM_guy. I do not like the front pocket idea for me personally. I would go for a white shirt and maybe a beige color shirt with the black design. Good work guys, keep it up

I just replaced all the pads on my '95 this past weekend and I had never done it before. I was suprised how easy it was. I used a Haynes manual and had all of them changed in about 1 1/2 hrs. I have to get a CV boot replaced so I'll get the bearings repacked while there in there, but mine has 138,000 miles and I know the front bearings haven't been repacked, but the rear ones were done at about 100,000. Buy a Haynes manual they have a maintenance schedule in the front for what should be done at certain mileage intervals.
