Found out what was making it run like crap after doing the plugs, wires, and distibutor stuff. The bleep bleep bleeping vacuum line that is back there by the number 6 plug. And all of this after the 8 inches of snow is now fully melted.

Looks like I might be in the same predicament as some of you. My tranny whines in 5th gear, so along with all of the other issues I'm having with it now, it looks like it will be coming off the road for awhile so I can buy everything it needs.

Pathfinder project on Extreme 4X4 T.V. show? UPDATE
Hytekrednek replied to jitterymonkey's topic in General Forums
I know that this is old but wanted to say if you search on here you will find that they put it up for sale on craigs list and had pics of it outside the shop. james -
It wasn't. Only problem is that they cut and added a relay in main power wire to the ignition switch. Now I'm a little worried it may not crank. James

Pulled out an old alarm setup that I didn't even know was there till today and the PO didn't know about it either.

Just wondering which brackets went where??? I want to do this for my Pathys. Thanks for the write up. James
-
I like that setup where did you get that at??? James
-
Yeah, see if you can get some factory steelies or something like that for the off road tires. I hope to one day have the money for the TE37x's that you have on yours. I really like the looks of those rims. James

What tires did you use as a replacement??? I know the ones on it were more street oriented??? James

Looks good. Need to go steal a factory roof rack from the jy for my 87. I will have to start from scratch though, no rack on mine. James -
Did you re-index your t-bars? I have new t-bars some ball joint spacers and rear springs and looking to put it all in when the weather gets a bit nicer. James

Hey you never know till you ask. By the way which UCA's are they? and what are your thoughts on them. James -
True. Now that I moved my floor mat I felt more of the heat. I went to town and while I was stopped I wanted to pull my floor mat and shake out the dirt. That was when I found out it was melted to the original non carpet area on the drivers side carpet. Kinda freaked me out as I never once smelled anything out of the ordinary. Hope to be able to get this fixed. May have to pay a visit to an old school exhaust guy that my dad knew. He could probably fix me something up custom. Just need to figure out what the best size tube would be. James

Just wondering what you are going to do with your UCA's???? Which lift are they?? How much?? Just wondering. James -
Well I just found out that my floor is now getting hot. No rust that I can see and I did pull up the carpet. The factory stuff was undamaged but the floor mat that I had melted right where my heel sits while driving. Other than a body lift how can I lower the floor temps?????

As usual GrandpaX you make we wish that I lived next door to you. Not to get you to do the work but to pick your brain and have you pass on that knowledge to me so I can do what you do. I would love to see pics of the pathy and to hear how it is going. I still like the idea you had about the keep it low and make it more capable. If you ever design a suspension setup that you are willing to sell I will be one of the first in line to get one. James. Your Pathfinders continue to be a goal that I look to for what I want for mine. -

Glad to see that you finally have it running and driving under it's own power. Looking forward to see the finished product. You are still an inspiration for what I want to do to one of my Pathy's. James -
Cool thanks for all the information guys, it looks like I just need to find the right lights and do a regular install. Cheers and the mods can close out this thread. James

I have my 93 Pathy and was wondering if the wiring harness has the connectors for the oem driving lights. I'm wondering if the bumpers have inserts where the lights are or do you need that specific bumper to retrofit the lights. James

Good to hear that. would love to see how it's looking now. anyway we can get any pics??? -
As long as it is a straight GL-4 oil it will most definitely be better then the GL-5 you have now. Get that out as soon as possible. It will kill your tranny. James

Glad to hear that you still have her and still working on her. Hope you get her on the road soon. James -
If you are on the road a majority of you time then you should always stick with a radial tire. That is just my opinion.

So you just cranked the T-bars on the front and did the suspension in the back?? Why did you take the spacers out? Just wondering.
