Is that what that little resister is on the side of the actual mag sensor on the maxima?
-
So I know you can use a 2001 maxima maf on our pathys, but how does that work with them being a 5 pin versus the pathy 4 pin connector? The factory connector still snaps on just fine?

you could always cut and seam the carpet where it meets the box and velcro it down for access to the storage cubby later on. not that difficult
-
you could always fab up something to mount a shallow ten in that little hidden cubby on the passenger side in the back....like this

Looks great man. What lift are you running?

02_Pathy's build/shenanigans thread

How long would you say it took you to get them off? That whole end pice comes off then? Is it all rubber or is there any metal on it that needs cut? My front bushings arent terrible yet and i dont really want to mess with drilling them and everything right now....but the rear bushings are destroyed. Where did you pick up the poly bushings from? -
dont buy it from nissan. its over 100 bucks. make one out of two pieces of good quality cable and attach your own eyelets. My vehicle actually doesnt qualify for this tsb....and i dont have the bolts in the same place on the manifold as yours does...but i just made myself a bracket and attached the two grounds to it that go to the harness that the o2 sensors are on. I then attached on more cable and ran that back to my negative battery cable and it fixed the bank 1 and 2 no sensor activity codes i was getting

How big of a pain is it to get that rear control arm bushings off that goes where the missing link bolts? -

P0420 - or - P0430 - o2 sensor or catalytic converter

But you can keep the rest of the exhaust if it’s not all rusted out. Just replace the cats -

Look inside of them. If the two little resonators before the muffler have the little honeycomb stuff in them they’re cats. And if there’s broken bits they either need replaced...or you can punch out the rest of them and use spark plug non foulers so you don’t throw codes -

Sjackson2 replied to colinnwn's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
running with clogged convertors is not a great thing...and yes if they break apart pieces can possibly be sucked back in. As far as the engine getting hotter...not necessarily. Especially now while its cold out. You could remove the pipes from behind the precats and inspect them and see how they look -

Sjackson2 replied to colinnwn's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
cataclean could cause some issues. its a solvent. you could have broken loose some carbon deposits that could be clogging up your cats. exhaust popping and poor gas mileage definitely point to this. What year is your vehicle? Technically they are supposed to have two pre cats and two resonators. But.....california models and some other(mine for instance) have 4 cates. The resonators on mine are also catalytic convertors -

Well if it’s throwing a code for only one side...you could try removing the o2 sensor from the side not throwing the code and swapping o2 sensors and seeing if the code follows the swap -
What year? Your truck might be a candidate for the tsb for the grounding issue. Sounds like it might be if it’s intermittent
-
Im down for that. By the way....that front bumper is siiiick!
-
Anything else that could cause both upstream o2 sensors to suddenly throw codes for no activity? Seems weird theyd both go out at the same time

And if you’re gonna take off the throttle body to clean it(which is a good idea in my opinion) get a new throttle body gasket as well as cleaning and a new gasket for the iacv valve. And you can monitor lots of stuff on r50’s with a Bluetooth dongle. O2 sensor voltage, maf voltage, cat efficiency, all kinds of things -
Cleaned MAF sensor tripped code
Sjackson2 replied to JackFletcher's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
It is similar. It has pretty much all the same gauges other than the ability to monitor mpg. But you can adjust idle with it, adjust timing + or - two degrees, do the self learn, and the idle volume relearn with it as well as read and delete codes. Totally worth it -
Might have to stop by hawairish’s place and have him make me up some cool stuf!!! Specially since he’s right up the street from em, lol
-
Made this up today to mount a kindle fire that wasn’t being used with torque pro and the pro gauge app on it. Pretty sweet to be able to monitor all this stuff

If you don’t mind spending a little money you can get a Bluetooth obd dongle for like 7 bucks and the pro gauge app for 7 or 8 and use that to do it -

You have to do these in order first to last. Kind of a pain in the ass https://forums.nicoclub.com/how-to-ecu-relearning-procedures-t445702.html
