  1. looking awsome... Could you tell me the thickness of material used? And i wonder if there are parts to "tie" sides of bumper close to fender to main brackets?
  2. let me ask something. how can i find photos of ARB or TJM like bumper installation photos? Especially the brackets and fixing pieces for sides of bumpers. Do you have any idea?
  3. bytheway.. what is the offset value of a stock 15" R50 alloy wheel?
  4. I love this forum . Thanks for responses. As i mentioned i am using stock wheels with 265/70/15 wheels with At tires. What distracts my eye most is the fender flares and wheels. When i look at the front of car wheels are really looking bad, flares makes tires seems tighter than they are. Ofcourse wider track is better for handling. I tried to find some new 15 wheels, but as a trends of street SUVs here, as seen on every part of modern world, no body is dealing with 15" wheels anymore! it is even hard to find 16" with more offset. Let me clarify situation. Where i work is in an industrial region. You can build anything mechanical you imagine here. There are several shops with large lathes to process anykinds of metal. I am planning to cut aluminum, and to use lathe to open cavities. By the way, aluminum is cheap but costly part is processing. I found a guy in another city who builds steel or aluminum flanges for Jeep products. I am sure he can build for nissan. I will give him a call. So let me ask if he use steel or aluminum; what can be the difference? I am not driving under heavy ofroad conditions, no rocks. Only rough terrain and mud. any experience with flanges about 1-1.5 inches? Actually, i do not want to change original studs, and invest on another pattern of holes and new studs on flange. And again, about dimensions, do you have any preset drawings for stock wheels, or at least dimension? Outside is cold, everywhere is snow, i am lazy to remove one and measure with a caliper Thanks in advance.
  5. Dear friends, I am planning to move my 15" stock wheels 1 inch out. I am planning to use aluminum metal and plasma cutter. Any suggestions before start? any drawings and dimensions?
  6. my transmission has been under servicefor 1 week. every elements inside transmission has been replaced including selenoid o rings. now it is like neew and acceleration is better and car seems much more relaxed. i saw that clutch bands were worn out.
  7. if it is possible, could you share the drawing with me as well?
  8. abs is disabled when 4wd low is engaged. (if my memory serves me correctly) normally it allows us to steer car while harshly pressing brake pedal. i normally do not like ABS feeling but i drive slow so no need for ABS under normal conditions. It saved me once in another car. This is my experience.
  9. when it is below 4 celcius, i experienced that it is not eager to shift to 4th gear. or lets say overdrive. when it is warmed up, it shifts normally. it takes 10 miğnutes in freeway at that temperature. this seems normal operation. i put a nylon sheet infront of radiator to make it warmed up faster and it worked. it saves few minutes. by the way my transmission started to shudder while shifting 3 rd to 4th gear, now is it in service shop for rebuilding. all internal mechanical elements will be replaced.
  10. i believe you will need complete unit. there is a steel wire behind climate control panel if it is manual control. is there any wires in qx4 ?
  11. i have same error code in scan tool.It cause check engine light turns on. i ve been driving car with this error for 40000 miles, nothing is wrong with car. everything is operational and consumption is even lower than manuals say.
  12. Thank you Steve, i will keep this information in mind. Happy new year.
  13. is your car idles and revs when engine is cold? and if it happens when it is warm, this is possibly caused by oxygen sensors. if there is rich gasoline smell at exhaust this is another proof.
  14. what was symptomes of broken sensor in your case? i wonder if mine is dying too. my pathfinder is auto.
  15. i want one!!!! beautiful. what i hate most is the low tech, low lighting head lights with 9004 bulbs...
  16. last winter there were no problems, or it was not evident. today i changed ATF with castrol dexron III, identical to nissan fluid, shifting is smoother but vibraiton is still there. I made two different service shops check my car,,driving as i instructed, both conclusion is to open and check torque converter and disks inside transmission, there is a hight probability of worn clutch disks and a stuck valve inside torque converter... It will cost me %10 of value of this car,(lets say 1500 to 2000 USD) so wonder if it is reasonable to keep car and fix it or get rid of it. two different issues. I spent lots of efforts in past two years, i never be harsh on transmission but look,it fails.. this pisses me of.
  17. i installed HID lights to 99 pathfinder with ordinary headlight housing. No lens yet. It has very verh high intensity than incandescent 9004 bulbs but i lost high beams. HID bulbs has small halogen high beams on same die, but focal point is wrong so i installed seperate high beams inside front bumber where actually fog lamps sit. not is is little better. I wish that i could make my own clear plastic headlight covers(like 99.5 has) and then i can install DIY lenses to use bixenon bulbs.
  18. i installed aftermarket replacement. Sound level is same except idling. It sounds little different. No drone and no sound. Tail pipe has larger diameter and acceleration is much better than before. I never thought that a new exhaust muffler which is close to stock could make this much difference. Higher revs are alive now. Thanks for opinions.
  19. i agree. this seems so low to ground. and tires are too thin. by the way, your signature photo is so nice. my car is same color but stock. What did you do to lift it? and are those tires bigger?
  20. mine was doing so. i replaced main 4 bigger bushings for rear axle. no help. then i decided to replace stabilizer rods at back. it is reduced but not gone. then i removed rear shaft and greased a lot, then filled front greasing opening. not that feeling is almost gone or minimum when weather is warm. when colder it is hardly felt.
  21. exactly i am experiencing same issue on my pathfinder for 1000 miles. It started when weather was getting colder here. Any update on this issue here?
  22. i am sure vq has much better emission values but vg is much known as world engine. vg has low compression ratio and it can use low quality gasoline. its torque band is wide and starts before VQ does. so it is much suitable for small movements during offroad activities. vq is faster, like a car, and when you go fast consumes lot. VG is sluggish and low performance engine but i can use it with LPG without a hassle. But it makes me crazy when i decide to pass a car on hills... it s better to save fuel and wait for straight roads to pass of course automatic transmission is another reason of losses in performance figures. it is very ordinary type transmission with no lock in convertor. so upper revs are not its favourite.
  23. our business is about wholesaling loudspeakers. we have contacts and one i wnated them to send me a really big neodmium magnet. I installed this magnet very similarly to those fuel saver devices. It is not told what i have done, and i gave my pathfinder to my dad to drive home. he told me that if i installed a new filter or new engine oil, car was accelerating better. and I drove it for 1000 miles and i felt that everything is same. There is a principle behind it, and similar devicas are attached to constant speed engines such as generators. but a modern car engine is controled by a computer which is eager and tend to adjust its setting to predefined values and ratios. Once i disconnect the battery and and after 5 hours i installed a new battery. It consumet %27 more fuel for two tanks. Then returned back to normal. Everything was same. But consumption was higher. Probably it readjust itself. So if engine program is for to adjust all values according to sensors, fuel air ratio will be "ideal" accordign to factory presets. when i install a magnet to make fuel burn better, it again tries to adjust something. If adjustments are affecting more variables than we think, we may not get an increase on MPG even we can loose it. But this does not mean these principles are not working. There are diesel public buses here in Turkey, in some cities they are equipped with similar devices and in average it is reported that they save little fuel. It stopped working on my pathfinder, this is another story.
  24. Why dont you use aftermarket or custom designed daylight running lights? you can hide them inside front grille? I am sure this would be cheaper. You can wire it directly from ignition key with a seperate fuse and a relay. when you turn it to ACC position your lights will be running. If you want to turn them off when you turn on head lights, a simple 4 leg relay can do the trick.
