So much fun. This weekend was the first trip out with another 4x4 vehicle, so I could really test its limits without the worry of getting stuck or breaking down. Immediately got stuck in the sand when we got to our spot, so I'm going to try and trade my 29" tires for some 31" and get an air compressor as my next upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm pretty good about judging speed and stuff and was going for that perfect speed to get the kind of weightless feeling over this smallish hill on the dirt road, but apparently going a little too fast over it. I would guess we only got about a foot or 3 off the ground for like 4 or 5 feet of length. It was pretty fun haha and we landed perfectly flat so the suspension absorbed the impact really well. I could figure out roll center by measuring suspension stuff, but calculating the center of gravity from scratch would be pretty difficult. I would try some google searching, I'm sure the info is out there somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It will probably take some good modification, but if I can find one the correct size I'm going to try and fit some in the 3 front face hood vents on my 2 door. As far as I can tell they are cosmetic vents made from plastic. Just gotta find some single row lights 1"x10" if they even exist. Clearance is tight in there, I'll have to cut some metal and make sure there is enough for shutting the hood without hitting the lights, or mount the lights into the hood itself. I think it would bad ass with 3 skinny lights like that above my existing HID's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My truck is 28 years old with 132,000 miles on the original vg30i. I'm wondering what kind of oil is best and how often to change it. I drive 600 miles a week: 100mi 5 days a week all highway for school(75-80mph @~3500rpm), and around 100mi city driving for work as a delivery driver. I've only changed the oil 3 times since I bought it in November. My memory is hazy, but I'm pretty sure the first two times were with mobile 1 high mileage oil, I'm not sure if that is synthetic or dino oil and I went about 5000 miles between changes. This last time I put cheapo Walmart brand non synthetic oil in it and plan on changing it at 2500-3000miles. I think the start up valve tap noise that lasts for a second or two has been louder with the walmart oil but could be my imagination. Sometimes it's loud and sometimes it's not there at all on cold start. Should I be doing synthetic or non synthetic in it? I don't know what was ran in it for most of its life and I heard it could be not so good no change from one to the other. The truck doesn't leak oil from anywhere and runs like a champ. This is on solidworks 2015b. I've had access to it for years, but just finally started taking the time to learn it. It can be very frustrating!! This was my 4th or 5th attempt at it. I tried doing round tube at first but it was not as easy. The tutorials are good for it, they teach you pretty much everything if you do all of them. I've only done the beginner ones to get the gist of it and it helped a lot. My buddy has been using fusion to do some thermo simulation for a research thingy, and he agrees that there is much more to that program for modeling than solidworks. He is having a very hard time with it, and he got his certification for solidworks last year so that definitely says something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right now it's with all 1" square tubing but I'll probably make it with something smaller. The side panels will be cut out of 1/8" sheetmetal on a plasma cnc table. I originally had the cut out on the side see-through but the vertical support bars made it look weird peeking through so I put the red plate behind the cut out parts.
