I pieced it all together. I got all my suspension parts from WorldPac except for the springs, which I ended up ordering locally thru Gearshop.

I ordered the D22 Navarra snorkel from ARB. It's the Safari snorkel for the 1st gen Frontier. It's been known to fit with minor modifications...

Received the new tires today. Also got a call to say my SNORKEL was in. I'll try to pick that up before the weekend

Well, Looking at some measurements and comparing the R50 and D22 at this point. If this doesn't work I will be looking at getting a full bumper made...Stay tuned!

I love the look of them. I would keep them for sure. 80lbs is definitely heavy tho...

1) HD up front and MD in back 2) KYB Excel G all around 3) I got 2.5" inches around 4) No pop at all. 5) Handles better than saggy stock springs and blown shocks lol 6) Very satisfied with the choice. 7) Stock wheels with 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Silent Armor. No rubbing at all.

I get about 450 kms to a tank. That's about 260 miles. As far as gearing goes. I'm gonna keep it stock since I do a fair amount of highway driving and I'm not planning on going with anything bigger than a 32 for tires. I'm most likely gonna stick to 31's for now. I'd love to do ARB air lockers front and rear but I'm not sure I wanna dump $2500 on that. Bumper and winch would probably be a better investment...

My SE has an open diff. This is why I'm looking at different options right now.

I'm looking to get something better than my open diff in the rear of my 97. I've looked at the ARB rear locker, the Lokka unit and I'm also looking at maybe just getting a factory LSD from the junk yard. I had mine looked at for recalls when they did the strut tower recall a few months ago. They had nothing. I'll have to do mine as well soon. Not looking forward to it at all.

Alignment was done yesterday. Drives much nicer now. I installed a new hitch today. Much work left to do!

Yes, I used KYB Excel G all around. I might take her out in the snow this weekend for some fun. The alignment is getting done today. Next is tires and spacers.

Installed my suspension yesterday and hit 288,888kms. Suspension install went fairly well. Only issue was a seized shock sleeve on the right rear. Took some measurements before and after. I got a full 2.5 inch lift all the way around. The ride is firmer but still comfortable. Handling is vastly improved and it looks 100 times better. Before After Install pics Lucky number Next I'm installing a new trailer hitch. The one that was on the vehicle was a universal one that hung way too low. I removed it yesterday.

Finally got my springs today. OME 928 HD front and 922 MD rear. I'm hoping to have them installed later this week when I have a chance. Looking forward to seeing how stiff the ride will be in the front...

I've had my daily on the trails 4 times since August. It's a blast. You just need to take it easy and keep an eye on the lines you pick.

I don't like the fact that I'll have to stop, get out of the car and turn them on as opposed to just pulling the lever. So that means I would have them engaged all winter and disengaged in the summer unless I go offroading...

I might look into this before spring. Anyone against them? Any major benefits apart from having less wear on the cv's?

LOL exactly what I had in mind...So I guess I'll be ordering some Aluminum control arms from you then. How long would it take for you to ship me control arms, front and middle skid plates in aluminum with the required middle attachment?

I replaced the complete arms on mine with arms from Dorman. I paid $160 for both arms and it took about 1 hour to do with both OEM arms being seized in the diff side brackets. I was contemplating the aluminum arms from Fleury as well. Maybe in the near future. Another option is to weld some angle iron on the bottom side of the trailing arms for strength.

I gotta get one made ASAP. My plastic one has taken a beating lol.

I was stuck in the first picture. I broke through the ice as I was leading the trail. I wasn't able to make it since the chunks of ice were limiting my traction. I had to be pulled back with the engine turned off since I was scared I would hydrolock my engine. the water was pretty deep.
