Short update... The other day I lost control around a corner (luckily going slowly) and tapped a tree. There's some damage on the passenger's side front end but I have most of the parts I need sitting in the basement from the junkyard except for a headlight and a bumper cover. I'll post pics once I get a chance to install it all. I'm just going to leave the bumper damaged for now, as hopefully it will motivate me to upgrade it and as for the headlight, wow they're expensive!!! So yeah, that's staying damaged until I find one in a junkyard (it still operates, don't worry). The fender is also gold, but that will have to do until I can have it painted and pinstriped in the spring. Anyway, this kind of ruined my timeline for getting some 32's and new wheels, so my new goal is to have that done by the time I go on spring break. Also, I'm having a real hard time finding anything that lays to rest the issue with manual hubs on R50's with Auto 4wd. The switch on mine has the options 2wd, Auto, 4Hi, and 4Lo. It sounds like I may not be able to use manual hubs due to the front half of the drivetrain needing to be engaged to do something involving a pump and the transfer case? I don't use 'auto' mode ever, so the concern of accidentally using it with the hubs unlocked doesn't apply to me, but I am concerned about this pump issue. If it's not 100% sure to be safe for me to use manual hubs on my Q I won't , but I would like to, as my winter mileage has set in at a nice 12mpg.

Like, surface scratches? I doubt they're all that bad if powercoating hides it...however I can understand your preference to hide them, as some customers may not be very understanding. As far as I'm concerned, it's a skidplate; scratches will happen anyway! If you could offer an option to have no powdercoating, I'd probably take that over powerdercoated. The only one that I would prefer powdercoated is the front, as it is fairly easily visible and black just looks better than silver.

Wow, beautiful picture! That sure looks like a lot of fun. I just noticed that we have the same roof rack, but mine is mounted a lot higher than yours. What did you do to mount it nice and low like that? As mine is now I can't fit in the garage by about an inch, so if I can get it dropped down that would be great. (Not that I mind driving through 12 inches of snow every day to park behind the garage. )

Today was a sad day...I got a little overconfident, lost control, and kissed a tree. No major damage as far as I can tell, but if I want to make it perfect again I'm going to need at least the passenger headlight and fog light, bumper, passenger fender (with pinstripe) and flare, windshield washer fluid reservoir, repairs to lots of mounting brackets, and some hood straitening... It could have been a lot worse, but I'm mostly mad because the truck was almost perfect before this and I totally could have avoided it.

Does it turn on two lights and beep? Because mine does this, and it was because of the sensor being broken (mine has Intelligent Cruise Control).

I know there is somebody making them, and it really bothers me that I can't find their website...hopefully somebody else knows what it is. But yes, somebody makes one and if I remember right they charge $425USD.

So it turns out the 32's (actually 31.5") aren't available in any width other than 11.5. Considering it is actually smaller than a 32 and I will have 3.75" backspace wheels, should this combo work? My reasoning for not using them is it's just another part to break. I think they get a bad rep because a lot of people buy the first cheap ones on eBay they find, but even if you get good ones, I say why put another potential point of failure on such a critical part of the vehicle?

So I hate to be 'that guy' that makes another "will this tire and wheel combo fit", but I've almost got this figured out after months of searching. Now I just need a little more information, which I hope you guys can help out with. I was originally looking at going with a 17 inch wheel as that's what my truck came with, and I wanted to keep myself capped at about $1000. This meant I was going to use ProComp wheels and Hankook Dynapro AT-M tires in a 31 inch size. However, I found out that 15 inch stuff is way cheaper! I am now planning to use the same ProComp wheels in a smaller size at $40 less each and some BFG KO2 tires at $25ish more each. So this works out a bit cheaper, and I get better/larger tires and more stance. I'm not sure how the whole width thing works. Also, will a 33" (which in BFG language means 32.5") fit on my QX4 with a 2.5" lift with no trimming? I wouldn't mind trimming the fenders, but the Infiniti has these huge flares that flow with a bunch of body lines and I don't want it to look stupid. If that won't fit for sure then I'm fine with getting 32's, but bigger is better of course so I figured it was worth investigating. Rough measurements say it should fit, but IDK about the inner fender well, which I DO NOT want to alter. Again, sorry for being 'that guy'!

So a Lokka would be awesome, but the issue is that I don't have manual hubs yet, and I can't afford both right now. I'm kind of tempted to do some supporting mods, like manual hubs, so I can do more substantial mods in the spring.
