  1. I had this problem ; use the NEO and so far [about 3 months] problem is completely solved. Thanks to all for advice ! ---glenn
  2. Hi! Does the jacob's ignition decrease milage ? does it increase radio /stereo/CB interference ? THANKS ----glenn
  3. B, it's beautiful work and looks great. My concern is how well uhmwpe does in tension. I know it does well under compressive loads but am concerned that it will fail under tension. One could imagine a scenario where a mid plate hit would put the mounting holes under tensile forces and they could crack. I HOPE I'M WRONG. Good luck !
  4. I added JWT pop charger [same thing as K&N cone] and put on dynomax turbo exhaust. Together I got about 10-15% increase in MPG.
  5. Thanks Steevo. Nice job. Question: Why did you go all the way from Rights side where antenna is to enter on left side? Any reason not to drill hole on Right side and then run as you did it but up the paseenger side ,past glove box to center ?-glenn
  6. I was thinking of getting yaesu 857d. My concern for running under carpet is my kids thrashing the lines as they hop around. How protected is your setup ? EXACTLY where did you run coax ? TNX--glenn
  7. What type/brand ham radio rig are you guys using? Have you thought about running coax up front pillar - between roof and interior ceiling- and down rear pillar to fender ?--glenn
  8. I agree. a vacuum leak, especialy if it's on the wrong side of the MAF would definitely mess you up.
  9. when I put on a cone filter my '90 ran fine. then I disconnected the battery and reset the ecu[as has been said above] it ran even better. your problem is likely not the ecu. could it be problem with installation ? maf ? --good luck - glenn
  10. I have both front and rear ARBs. What I can say for a fact is that the steering is unbearably stiff with the fronts engaged. So if you are going to pick one I would do it in rear diff. Both are great if you can swing it. I only use the fronts when going relatively straight up up a hill with little steering involved.---glenn
  11. I have '90 Pathy with Calmini lift and have same problem. I can temporarily solve problem with spray on lithium grease.Works for about 1 week and is cheaper then messing with UCAs or bushings. May try lithium cartridge grease next.---glenn
  12. ti's probably an RF [radio frequency]problem. The engine's sparking can generate a radio signal that either the stereo or th wires to the speakers are picking up. Do you have an enhanced starter coil or something like an MSD system? They may make the engine perform better but can cause problems with electronics.. Solutions are usually multifocal. First make sure your radio is functioning well and has been installed correctly [ie grounded to chasis]. It gets tougher from here.Tailpipe can actually act as antenna for engine spark RF . Make sure your tailpipe is electrically grounded to chasis [probably will need to solder /weld grounding wire from tailpipe to body] You can buy ferrite beads [type 34 , I think]that clamp on to spark plug wires, power line to radio and if required , to the speaker wires themselves.THe beads act as electromagnetic sinks or filters that can block/absorb the unwanted RF. GOOD LUCK ! --glenn
  13. I had something like this and it was the T-bar rubbing on a bracket. I had someone remove the t-bar and grind a half inch off the bracket and replace the t-bar and problem solved. You might want to see if your t-bar sagged and is now rubbing on something, Just my 2c. Good luck.
  14. I had similar problem with my "90 --would read half empty even when full. Got the sensor [float?] replaced by Nissan [$$] dealer and problem was solved.
  15. hi all !happy new year! need help! had calmini 3" susp lift put on. a couple of weeks later i hear popping from front wheel well. had frnt end lowered some [uncranked t-bars ] and sound went away; then turned steering to max and sound came back; sound is related to speed; hear it about every 2 sec when going 1 mph; sound pops more rapidly as speed increases. any ideas ? need help PLEASE !
  16. thanks again.I had the lift put on ;after a while heard the popping. had the t-bars uncranked some [lowr the front end] and the sound disappeared--for a while; then as i said turned hard right and sound returned. .the sound is speed related- go 1 mile/hr and hear it about every 2 seconds--the faster i go the faster the sound . any other ideas ? should i lower front end more ? THANKS
  17. thanks bernard. The sound began after I turned my wheels maximum to right but now I hear it when going straight. any help would be appreciated THANKS !
  18. hi all and merry christmas. I had the calmini 3" suspension lift put on my '90 pathy ;also had front arb locker put on. problem is now I hear popping sound from front axil . lift guy said it was the arb. arb guy says the truck's front end is up too high and the cv joints are at too high an angle . the only thing I'm sure of is that there's a problem. Hey "88 and any body else can you advise ? THANKS! -glenn
  19. hi! I had same problem .In my case ,after a considerable period of auto locking problem , the connector from door lock mechanism to door latch eventually broke[not exactly what was described above but a different part of same mechanism]-- key would not unlock door anymore. When Nissan replced mechanism [ for an outrageous fee] the uncontrolled automatic locking problem went away.
  20. Can any of you guys show a photo of how you have the two batteries placed ? THANKS --glenn

    door lock

can anyone help? key turns lock but now does not activate mechanism. I opened up door and found connecting rod not connecting. Don't know how it used to be attached.Thought I would replace entire mechanism but cannot get to it -- it's deep inside door. Advice on how to replace ? THANKS
  22. thanks guys. I was planning to get new wheels anyway so the wheel offset issue doesn't matter. Other then that is the Rancho kit bad ?
  23. Do any of you guys have experience with the Rancho 2.5 in. suspension lift kit? Should I get it ? THANKS ! --glenn
