  1. It's actually a v6 but I get the point, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do this to save myself from taking everything apart again if it doesn't like up, One last thing, if there was a load on one of the cams and it shifted, I just move it back and everything will be in alignment again?
  2. Yeah I read it I just like to ask questions my own way, I always have a "what about this" type of thing goin on in my head. I think I'm gonna put the old belt back on how many time do you guys suppose I have to rotate the engine to make them line up? Also what would I Use to rotate the engine? I have the vibration damper off so I can't really turn it with that nut, should I put it back on?
  3. This is kind of where I get confused if I haven't rotated the crank I should have to do any of this right?1
  4. Ok let me clarify this one more time please. Since it didn't break and I still have alignment since it ran when I took it apart & assuming the cam didn't rotate from a load on it (didn't from what I seen). All that considered is there any need for me to line up the notches on the sprockets or find TDC? Also are the teeth in between gonna be the only way to tell me if the tensioner is tight enoigh?
  5. Tensioner is off too btw hope that didn't mess anything up. Any suggestions on that as well?
  6. Thanks for the quick and friendly replies, but I did already take the belt off because of the water pump and the only mark I made is one on the belt and one on the right side cam sprocket, what do you mean by "rock a sprocket" and how would you guys recommend I turn the engine if I already have the belt off, should I put it back on and try to get the marks to align?
  7. Could I revive this thread I'm doing mine and I'm a little nervous, are you guys talking teeth on the belt or teeth on the sprockets? Also do I need to worry about it if the belt didn't break?
  8. Good question those are hard to find. On another note took the tail lights out of a 95, fit right in my 87, First year to last year lol.
  9. So I'm doing my water pump so I figured I would get the belt while I was at it. Waiting for the belt to come in so here is the question can I just put the new belt right back as long as my engine ran fine before I took it apart and never turned the The cam sprockets or the crank timing sprocket separately, does that make it ok for me to slip the belt on however? Sorry if im not asking this right but I've read up on it and it seems to be ok as long as I don't turn the sprockets.
  10. Where can I get some rims with 3.5 back spacing? I can't narrow summit results by the model. Do I have to do it by the bolt pattern? If so what is it?
  11. What about aftermarket UCAs and the spacers? The would lift more with a t-bar tweak right?
  12. i just want to know why they have different sections in this forum and in other forums they are the same. What can I not buy for the 90-95 if I have an 87?
  13. I have an 87 as well turned out to be my steering column wire, the Hayes manual told me to check it, I gained access then wiggled the wires while I turned the key and it started. I haven't fixed it yet lol, just give it a jiggle when I have trouble, hope I don't get stranded on day lol Let me know if this works!
  14. Was 31s but I just bought some 32s for good looks lol. I know it's not go make help my towing. I think I'm just gonna get the cooler, I hear good things about them, as far as HP, I think I'm up for anything that doesn't require dropping the engine. You think TBI is worth looking into precise?
  15. The 2 door has the same roof space right? Im definately gonna try thins, can someone please show me a close-up of the cut and reattachment of the feet, Or do you guys just cut it in the middle and re weld it?
  16. So I live in Ohio and its pretty salty up here lol, Im tryna slap some makeup on this pig nothing too expensive or time consuming, I started with POR15 for my base coat then im gonna sand that lightly and slap some primer on top of that, my real issue is with the bondo work havent done too much of that, got some pretty nice fender holes ill like to patch up, what do you guys reccomend to help make this a little easier as far as method/products go.
  17. Thanks Old-Timer The gauges and coolers sound like a good idea. Any other sweet ideas to help me tow a heavy load?
  18. Sorry about the different threads, I guess I was just curious if I could do the terra swap like a hear about these guys doing, sounds sweet, plus I was gonna ask about the transfer case adapters they sell at rugged rocks & if they would help me do a swap.
  19. A 5 speed would have the same issues like the wires no? Also what you guys think that tranny is capable of pulling with the vg30i in it? I'm kind of scared cause it's a 3 speed lol.
  20. Yeah that's the thing, I wanna tow a utv with it, I know it's a long shot figured any upgrade would help.
  21. I have the week 3 speed transmission in my pathy and it sucks I like to tow so I was wondering if there were any adapters or if a newer Nissan transmission would work in the old pathy I believe I have the v630i ive heard of people putting Xterra trannys in the pathys but I think they had a different tranny to begin with, any info would help!
