  1. I didn't know of the fog light wiring harness. But this is good to know I might retrofit a pair. However there is no fuse for the fog lights, that I did check.
  2. Best thing about plastidip is that it protects the paint from branches and such...might go that route too.
  3. Should probably add pics with this...
  4. Today I added 2 auxiliary driving lights from KC and added the windshield decal. She's starting to take on her persona but it just won't be where I want it to be until those damn wheels and tires get in!! Have I mentioned I'm super impatient when it comes to goodies lol
  5. I don't have fog lights so that wasn't an option. I ended up running them between the fender and the door sill on the driver side into the cabin begin the alarm light. I had a spare switch spot there that I used.
  6. sounds like a nice rig. We need pictures!!!
  7. I picked up a set of KC driving lights and while I understand the theory of installing these, my only hurdle right now is how to get the wires from the lights through the firewall into the cabin to install the switch?? A bunch of people here have done this so I was really hoping for some advice. Thanks
  8. Looks good. I have the same one for the windshield but haven't put it on yet. What did you mess up on it? The centering?
  9. Thanks Kyle, that does help. I have Pro Comp Rock crawlers on order, with a 3.75 BB on a 15x8 rim, which seems to be the most common setup and shouldn't be an issue. I actually like a bit of rake as filling the back and or towing something will weigh it down and I don't want to look like it's dragging its ass. So I might use one of the two 1" spacers in currently have stacked in the rear. Anybody know a Canadian source for OME kits?
  10. Damn so 31x10 really isn't going to be much bigger....hmm, I might need 33's lol
  11. Well thanks, glad you like it, I think it doesn't look very good unless it gets some 31's on. This was taken at stock height yes and the tires are 245/75/R16. Not sure what that converts to in inches though.
  12. Hello fellow Pathfinders. I know I know, yet another suspension thread. Sorry. But I am looking for some advice. I took it in to a Nissan dealer today to have it looked over and have the AC belt replaced. Since it's new to me I wanted to get a good idea where's it's at mechanically etc. I'm told it needs a new front strut. As replacing just one strut is not usually recommended, I'm thinking I'll need at least the front 2 done. So why not get some aftermarket ones and do all 4, right?! So I looked into OME as from everything I've read, that's. Quality setup. But I also have fleurys spacers and was wondering if the combination of the 2 will cause problems due to the additional height. On the OME website it says that anything above 2" will cause problems not worth the benefits of the additional inch. So my questions are: If I were to get another lift kit, what else would I need to make it work? Plus 31's would probably look silly with 4" lift. But that's another topic. What other options do I have? Oem struts? kYB struts on oem springs? Bilstein shocks on oem springs? Please let me know what you think those of you that have much more experience with this vehicle. Thanks
  13. Cross bars installed And roof basket: Gettin there. But this rig won't look the part until those wheels and tires go on....
  14. No I have 2011 Explorer to tow the boat. But I decided to give the PF a shot, especially where I was taking it to a more remote and rockier launch site that time. It did a great job! Still 6 weeks for the wheels and tires....this wait is killing me!! But CB radio should arrive soon and the roof rack will go on tonight so more to follow on that shortly...in line to pick it up right now
  15. Fitted the $10 deflector from the junkyard today: I used double sided to tape to mount the brackets, then screwed them into the trunk. Then covered the entire mount in Flex Seal so the drill holes won't get wet and start to rust.
  16. Fitted a WD21 rear window diffuser. Obviously needed to convincing and fit isn't 100% but it's on there right and looks pretty good to me. If you don't know it, you probably wouldn't notice that it isn't supposed to be there.
  17. Just the Yakima ones. Not necessarily lower but much stronger and flat, instead of curved.
  18. Thanks for the explanation Bushnut. I will probably go with an OME kit at some point down the road. For now this lift seems good enough for what I need it for. In other news, this arrived today: And the mounts for the crossbars, which meant the oem rails came off. I was really surprised at how flimsy they really are. Glad that Rack Attack made me aware of their very low load capacity. Topless for now until the bars arrive. Should be next delivery day.
  19. sure...but I wouldn't call that thread jacking, as that is the same as retrofitting parts...
  20. The wind diffuser will be swappable although the brake light cutout isn't the same as on the R50. It will just make mine more unique I guess.
  21. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?/topic/38507-help%2C-crank-no-start-out-of-the-blue
  22. In comparison to my Exploder. So is a spacer lift a suspension lift or a body lift? Or neither nor? This does extend the shocks further, I read that they don't "need" to be replaced, but "should" they?
  23. I went to the junk yard today and found 4 Pathfinders there. I found 2 things of interest to me: 1 - rear window wind deflector 2 - spare tire swing mount The deflector is a simple screw on piece. Although it is off a WD21 and the trunk is less rounded, the mounts still fit by the looks of it. There is just something about drilling into the metal that acares me as that is just an invitation for rust. Any input or ideas on how to mount this thing? The other question is, if the swing mount can be retrofitted. I don't know if there is a support bracket in the frame that the swing mount is mounted up against or if it's just drilled into the body?
  24. I think the moral of this story is; don't let this friend of yours drive your vehicles anymore! Did you try new spark plugs? Although highly unlikely that they would all crap out at once. It does sound like the problem lies with the fuel delivery or failure to ignite at the spark plugs. Check your fuel line and fuel filter.
